Well, let me tell ya ’bout this here… what’s it called? Ah, yes, the ss 750 ducati. It’s a fancy motorcycle, that’s for sure. Folks keep talkin’ about it, so I figured I’d share what I heard.

Now, they say this ain’t just any bike. It’s a special one, real rare they say. Only a few hundred of ’em made way back when, in them 1970s. Imagine that! That’s why all them collector fellas are scramblin’ to get their hands on one. Makes it a real valuable thing, like an old piece of furniture that’s been passed down for generations, only shinier and faster, I reckon.
They call it a “supersport,” whatever that means. Sounds fast, don’t it? And I hear it is fast. Real fast. Like a greased pig on a downhill slope! This here bike, it changed things for that there Ducati company. Made ’em famous, like the best pie maker in the county. Before that, they was just makin’ regular bikes, I guess. But this 750 ss, it put ’em on the map.
Now, some folks say they still dream of a bike like this, a mid-weight Ducati, they call it. Somethin’ you can ride after you get the hang of things. They make bigger ones now, but this one, it seems to hold a special place in people’s hearts. Like that first love you never forget, you know?
- They say it’s a smooth ride. Not jumpy or jerky, but smooth like butter.
- Handles good too, they say. Goes where you want it to go. Though some say it ain’t the quickest turnin’ thing, but it’s steady, like a good ol’ mule. Keeps ya on the road, no matter what.
I heard tell of a fella gettin’ one, a 2002 model, as his first sport bike. Said he’d ridden other bikes before, but this one, this Ducati, he fell head over heels for it. Said it was near perfect, whatever that means. Must be somethin’ special, huh?
And you know, people got all sorts of questions about this bike. They wanna know how fast it goes, if it breaks down easy, if you can race it, if you can take it on long trips, and how much it costs to fix it. And of course, if it’s easy to get yourself into a pickle with it. All them important things, you see.

So, this ss 750 ducati, it seems like it’s quite a machine. Fast, smooth, and rare. A real collector’s item, and a dream bike for many. It changed the game for Ducati, and it’s still talked about today, all these years later. It ain’t somethin’ you see everyday around here, that’s for sure. More likely to see a tractor than one of these fancy things. But it’s nice to hear about ’em, ain’t it? Makes you think about all the different things folks get up to out there in the world.
They say it’s good on the street too, not just for racin’. That means you can ride it to the store, I guess, though I can’t imagine why you’d want to. Seems like a waste of a good fast bike to me. But what do I know? I’m just an old lady who prefers her feet on the ground.
But from what I gather, you can’t really go wrong with either of the Ducati SS models, the old ones and the newer ones. But that old 750, that’s the one that started it all, the one folks remember. Like the first bite of a good apple pie, it leaves a taste you won’t soon forget.
And that’s about all I know about this here ss 750 ducati. It’s a fast, fancy bike, a real legend they say. And that’s good enough for me.
