So, it all kicked off when I heard about this horrible incident in Suncheon. I started digging around, trying to find out what happened. The first thing I did was gather all the news reports I could find. I read about how this 30-year-old Dae-sung Park brutally murdered a teenage girl. It was shocking, to say the least.
Then, I went deeper. I found out that Park didn’t just stop there. This guy actually tried to kill again, visiting a bar after the first incident. I was like, “What the hell is wrong with this dude?” It was confirmed that he visited other places as well, making the whole situation even more bizarre.
Next, I looked into what Park said to reporters when he was sent to prosecution. Can you believe this? He claimed he couldn’t remember anything because he was drunk. What a load of crap. It’s like, seriously? You’re going to use that as an excuse?
I followed the court proceedings too. On November 27th, I read about the second trial date for Park at the Gwangju District Court’s Suncheon Branch. The judge, some guy named Kim Yong-kyu, was presiding over the case. It felt like a never-ending nightmare.
Then I found out more about the victim. This poor girl was just 18 years old, walking down the street in Jeongwon-dong, Suncheon, when Park attacked her. He stabbed her multiple times. It’s just so messed up. I couldn’t believe what I was reading.

The more I learned, the more disturbed I got. This guy, Dae-sung Park, is a monster. It’s just a senseless tragedy, and my heart goes out to the victim’s family. It’s times like these when you really lose faith in humanity.
