Okay, so I’ve been on this shiny hunt in Pokémon Scarlet, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey! I decided I really wanted a shiny Frigibax. That icy little dragon just looks so cool in its shiny form.
Getting Started
First, I looked up where Frigibax even spawns. Turns out, it’s mostly around Glaseado Mountain, that big snowy area. I flew over there, ready to start the grind.
The Long Hunt Begins
My initial plan was simple: just run around, encounter every Frigibax I saw, and hope for the best. I spent hours doing this. Seriously, hours. I battled so many Frigibax, my team got super over-leveled. Still no shiny.
Then, I remembered something about picnics. Apparently, if you make a sandwich with certain ingredients, it can boost your chances of finding shiny Pokémon of a specific type. So, I went online, found a recipe for a sandwich that boosts Ice-type shiny encounters, and gathered all the weird stuff I needed.
Sandwich Power!
I set up a picnic near where the Frigibax spawn, made this crazy-looking sandwich, and started running around again. This time, I was using the “Let’s Go” feature to have my lead Pokémon auto-battle the Frigibax. It was way faster this way.

- Eat sandwich that can boost your chances of finding shiny Pokémon.
- Encounter every Frigibax and pray.
The Shiny Appears!
Honestly, I almost missed it. I was half-watching a show on my other monitor when I saw this slightly different-colored Frigibax pop up. My heart skipped a beat! I quickly stopped the auto-battles, started a regular encounter, and threw a Quick Ball. Boom! Got it!
It took forever, but I finally have my shiny Frigibax. It’s so worth it, though. Now, I’m off to figure out what my next shiny hunt will be… maybe something a little less time-consuming this time!
