Okay, so I wanted to figure out who was running for Congress in Florida’s 27th district. It’s election season, and I like to be informed, you know?

Started with a Basic Search
First, I just did a simple search. Typed in something like “Florida congressional district 27 candidates”. I figured that would give me a good starting point.
Sifting Through the Results
I got a bunch of results, of course. News articles, campaign websites, maybe some political analysis stuff. I spent a little time clicking through the first few links, just to get a feel for who the main players were.
Identifying the Key Candidates
Usually, there are a few main candidates from the major parties, and maybe some smaller-party or independent candidates. I was looking for those names that kept popping up.
Checking Out the Campaign Websites
- Once I had a few names, I went straight to their campaign websites. Those usually have a section on the candidate’s “issues” or “platform,” so I could get a sense of where they stand on things.
Reading News Articles
I also made sure to read some news articles about the race. It’s good to get different perspectives, not just what the candidates themselves are saying.
Making My Notes
As I went, I jotted down some notes. Just the candidate’s name, their party, and maybe a couple of key issues they were focusing on.
Nothing fancy, just enough to keep things straight in my head.
The Finished Product!
After doing the search and spending 30mins to check and search again, I got all the candidate name who running the Congress.
And that’s it! That’s how I figured out who’s running. It’s not rocket science, but it does take a little bit of digging.
