Alright, so today I wanted to mess around with creating something related to Kevin Durant’s time with the Golden State Warriors. I’m a huge basketball fan, and those years were just electric. So, I decided to try and make… well, I wasn’t entirely sure what I was going to make at first, but I knew it had to be KD and GSW themed.

First, I opened up my trusty image editor. I figured I’d start by gathering some good source material. You know, pictures, logos, that sort of thing.
- I spent a good hour just browsing for high-quality action shots of Durant in his Warriors uniform. I wanted something dynamic, maybe him mid-dunk or hitting a clutch three.
- Then I grabbed a few different versions of the Warriors logo – the classic “The City” design, the newer bridge logo, all that.
- I even looked for some cool textures, like maybe a basketball leather texture or something to use as a background.
Once I had a folder full of goodies, I started experimenting. I layered a few different Durant photos, playing with transparency and blending modes. I’m no graphic design expert, so it was a lot of trial and error.
Experiment Time!
I tried putting the Warriors logo behind Durant, making it look like he was emerging from it. That looked kinda cheesy, to be honest. Then I tried overlaying the logo on top, making it semi-transparent, like a watermark. Better, but still not quite there.
I added the text, “Golden State” above, using the Warriors-style font. I added “Kevin Durant” below, I played around with a bunch of different fonts and sizes, trying to find something that looked both powerful and elegant.
Finally, after a couple more hours of tinkering, I had something I was reasonably happy with. It’s not going to win any awards, but it’s a cool little tribute to one of the greatest players ever, during his time with one of the greatest teams ever. It was fun to just mess around and be creative, even if it wasn’t perfect.
