Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this Lakers in-season tournament banner thing. It’s been quite a ride, let me tell you. I’m a huge Lakers fan, and when they won the inaugural tournament, I just knew I had to do something to commemorate it. So, I decided to make my own digital version of the banner, but with a clean, white background.

First off, I started by hunting down some decent images and graphics. I mean, you can’t just throw something together, right? It’s gotta look good. I spent hours scouring the internet, just looking for anything related to “Los Angeles Lakers” and “Lakers background.” You wouldn’t believe the amount of stuff out there. Seriously, it’s overwhelming.
I found a bunch of vector images, like, a ton of them. Apparently, there are like 99,000+ “Los Angeles Lakers” vectors and 100,000+ “Lakers Background” vectors online. Who knew? I grabbed a few that I thought would work well together. The actual banner they raised at the arena is black with gold accents. I found a good quality image of it when I searched “The championship banner for the 2023 In-Season Tournament”.
Then came the fun part – putting it all together. I used some basic photo editing software, nothing too fancy. Started with a plain white background, and then I started layering the elements. I placed the Lakers logo, the tournament trophy image, and some text elements. It took a lot of tweaking, moving things around, resizing, and adjusting colors to get it just right.
I wanted it to have that official look, you know? Like something you’d see hanging in the arena. It needed to be clean and simple with that white background. The real banner is vertical, hanging near the Minneapolis Lakers’ banners, but I felt like a white background would make the gold and purple pop even more.
The Process:
- Gathered Resources: Scoured the internet for vector images of the Lakers logo, trophy, and related graphics.
- Created a Base: Started with a blank, white background in my photo editor.
- Layered Elements: Carefully placed the logo, trophy, and text elements onto the white background.
- Adjusted and Refined: Spent time resizing, repositioning, and tweaking colors until it looked perfect.
- Finalized the Design: Saved the final version in multiple formats, just in case I want to use it for different things later.
Honestly, it was a lot more work than I anticipated, but I’m really happy with how it turned out. It’s not perfect, but it’s my own little tribute to the Lakers’ tournament win. Now I have a cool banner to use as my desktop background, or maybe even print it out and hang it on my wall. Go Lakers!
