Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with that “Twitter Crying” meme. You know, the one where people are sobbing uncontrollably? Yeah, that one. I figured it’d be fun to make a few of my own.
Finding the Base Image
First things first, I needed the actual meme image. I just did search for “Twitter crying meme template” and boom, tons of options popped up. I grabbed a couple of the high-resolution ones, just in case I wanted to switch things up later.
Brainstorming Some Captions
Next, the hard part: actually being funny. I spent a good chunk of time just staring at the meme, trying to think of relatable, overly dramatic situations. I jotted down some ideas like:
- When your favorite show gets canceled.
- When you accidentally close a document without saving.
- When the Wi-Fi goes out for 5 seconds.
- When you drop your food.
Putting it All Together
I picked the situations that were most funny to me and the base image I saved.
I opened up the crying Twitter image, and used the text tool to slap my captions on there. I played around with the font size, color, and placement until it looked, the font I used was the basic one, nothing fancy.
And that was pretty much it! It’s not rocket science, but the results can be pretty hilarious. If you need a good laugh, try and make your own, just take a few mins.
