Okay, so I wanted to get into some baseball stats today, specifically for the Kansas City Royals vs. Los Angeles Angels game. I’m a big stats guy, and I love digging into the numbers. So, I decided to pull up the player stats for this matchup and see what I could find.

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to find a good source for the data. I tried a few different sports websites.
I started poking around, looking for the specific game I wanted.
Finding the Stats
Once I located the game, it was time to dive into the player stats. The websites usually have them organized pretty clearly. I was looking for things like:
- Batting: At-bats, hits, runs, RBIs, home runs, strikeouts, batting average – all that good stuff.
- Pitching: Innings pitched, hits allowed, runs allowed, earned runs, strikeouts, walks, ERA.
Analyzing the Data
I wanted to make some meaningful comparisons and see how the players stacked up. I love doing this stuff.I spent some time just browsing through the numbers. I made a note of some key players and how they performed:
- Which batters had a big game?
- Who struggled at the plate?
- Which pitchers dominated?
- Which pitchers got roughed up?
It’s simple, but I like to hand write the key stats and write them down on paper.

I didn’t get too deep into advanced stats, just looking at the basic performance metrics for each player in this game. I spent a good amount of time doing this. I felt pretty satisfied.
