Okay, so “grady gross mouth” – sounds weird, right? I stumbled upon this while, you know, just randomly browsing the internet. It’s apparently some kind of animation or something. I was curious, so I decided to check it out and see if I could, I don’t know, recreate a bit of it, just for fun.

First, I googled “grady gross mouth” to see what would pop up. Mostly images and some video clips. It looked kinda creepy, but also strangely interesting. I watched a few of the videos, trying to get a feel for the style and what made it, well, gross.
Then, I thought, “Hey, I can probably do something like this!” I’m no animator, but I’ve dabbled a bit with some basic animation software before. Nothing fancy, just moving shapes around and stuff.
So, I opened up my trusty old animation program. It’s not the best, but it gets the job done. I started with a simple circle for the head, and then a bigger, kinda misshapen oval for the mouth. The key, I figured, was to make it look really…unnatural.
- I added some weird teeth – all different shapes and sizes.
- I made the tongue all lumpy and bumpy.
- I played around with the colors, making everything look kinda sickly and green.
Next, the animation part. I wanted the mouth to open and close in a really jerky, unsettling way. So I keyframed it opening super wide, then snapping shut really fast. I added some random twitches and movements to the tongue, just to make it extra creepy.
It took a few hours of messing around, but I finally got something that looked…vaguely similar to the “grady gross mouth” stuff I saw online. It wasn’t perfect, obviously, but it was definitely gross! I even added some drool effects, just for good measure.

I showed it to my friend, and they were like, “Dude, that’s messed up!” So, mission accomplished, I guess? It was a fun little experiment, anyway. Maybe I’ll try to make it even grosser next time!
