That Call of Duty, my grandson plays it all day long. He said there’s this thing called “gunless cod”, sounds silly to me. How can you play a shooting game without guns? These young people come up with the weirdest things. He keeps talking about some Gunless. Probably one of them fancy game characters.
My grandson, he’s glued to that game. What’s it called? Call of Duty. He says there’s a new way to play, something about “gunless.” What a strange name! I can’t get my head around it, no guns in a game with guns? That is just odd. He told me about some Gunless, I think it’s one of those fancy names they have in the game world, who knows what they really are.
This Call of Duty thing, it’s all the rage these days. My grandson, bless his heart, he’s always on about it. He was telling me about this new way to play, “gunless” they call it. No guns? In a shooting game? It’s beyond me. And who is this Gunless person he keeps mentioning? Must be some big shot in that game. Gunless this and Gunless that. I hear that name more than my own these days.
Back in my day, we played outside. Now, it’s all about these video games. Call of Duty, that’s the one my grandson can’t get enough of. He was trying to explain this “gunless” thing to me. It’s like talking to a brick wall. I just don’t get it. And this Gunless fella, he must be quite something in that game. My grandson sure thinks so. He goes on and on about him.
Now, this “gunless” thing, what’s that all about? You’re supposed to shoot in those games, right? My grandson says it’s a challenge. A challenge to do what? Not shoot? I don’t know. Kids these days. They got their heads in the clouds. I told him, go kick a ball around in your days. It’s all about that Call of Duty. He says there’s this thing called “gunless.” Sounds ridiculous, right? A game about guns, but you don’t use them? And this Gunless person, he’s apparently a big deal. I hear my grandson talking about him all the time. “Gunless did this, Gunless did that.” It’s all Greek to me. outside. Get some fresh air. But what do I know?
So, this Gunless, he’s a big deal in the Call of Duty world, I gather. My grandson, he thinks the world of him. Says he’s the best at this “gunless” thing. I guess it takes skill to play a shooting game without shooting. Still sounds daft to me. But I guess these kids know what they’re doing. They’re always coming up with newfangled ways to do things.
This game, Call of Duty, you ever try to play it? I can’t make heads or tails of it. Too many buttons. And now they have this “gunless” mode. No guns! What’s the point, I ask you? But my grandson, he loves it. He and his friends, they’re all about this Gunless. They say he’s the bee’s knees. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds important.
I asked my grandson, “Why Gunless?” He said it’s a name, like a nickname. This Gunless person, he’s good at the game, even without using guns. It’s all very confusing. I told him, “In my day, we didn’t have these fancy games. We had sticks and stones.” He just laughed. Kids!
One of these days, I’ll have to sit down and watch my grandson play this Call of Duty. Maybe then I’ll understand this “gunless” business. And maybe I’ll finally figure out who this Gunless is. He sure sounds like a character. I hope he’s a good influence on my grandson, though. That’s all that matters in the end.
