Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Harley Blackline, ya know, the motorcycle. I ain’t no expert, but I seen a few bikes in my time, and this one, it’s somethin’ else.

First off, they say it’s a Softail. Now, what that means to me is it’s supposed to look like them old hardtail bikes, ya know, the ones without the bouncy thing in the back. But this one, it’s got that hidden bouncy thing, so your backside don’t get too beat up on them bumpy roads. That’s good, ’cause my old bones ain’t what they used to be.
They say it’s got a Sportster front end. That just means it looks kinda skinny and sporty up front, not all big and bulky like some of them other Harleys. I guess that makes it look a little… I dunno… fancier, maybe? Not so much like a grandpa bike, ya know?
And the handlebars! Don’t even get me started on them handlebars. They’re somethin’ special, they say. Shaped all weird and different. But here’s the kicker, they say if you wanna change ’em, it’s gonna cost ya a pretty penny. Seems like they made ’em special just so they could charge ya more, if ya ask me.
- It’s got that V-twin engine, like most Harleys. That means it rumbles and shakes real good. Makes ya feel like you’re ridin’ somethin’ powerful, even if you’re just goin’ down to the store for some milk.
- Some of ’em, they got this fancy anti-lock brakin’ thing. Now, I ain’t sure I need that fancy stuff. I been brakin’ just fine without it for years, thank ya very much. But I guess it’s good for them youngsters who like to go fast.
- They made these bikes a few years back, around 2011 or 2012, somethin’ like that. Not brand new, but not ancient neither.
Now, they talk about it bein’ “all blacked out.” That just means it’s black, real black. Everything’s black. The paint, the engine, the wheels… everything. Looks kinda mean, I guess. Like somethin’ a bad guy would ride in them old movies.
Some folks, they like to customize these bikes, ya know, make ’em their own. Change the handlebars, put on a different seat, add some chrome. Me? I think a bike should be a bike. Somethin’ to get ya from point A to point B. But these young fellas, they like to tinker. Can’t fault ‘em for that, I guess.

They say it’s a good bike, this Blackline. Rides nice, handles good. But then again, they say that about all them Harleys, don’t they? It’s all about how it makes ya feel, I reckon. And this one, with all that black and that rumble, it probably makes ya feel like a real tough guy… or gal.
If you got the money, and you like that blacked-out look, then go for it, I say. But me? I’m happy with my old pickup truck. Gets me where I need to go, and I don’t have to worry about fallin’ off.
So that’s the story on this Harley Blackline, as best as I can tell ya. It’s a motorcycle, it’s black, and it’s probably more money than I make in a year. But hey, if it makes ya happy, then who am I to judge?
