Okay, so I wanted to figure out the whole “witch versus wizard” thing in Hogwarts Legacy. You know, does it actually matter which one you pick when you’re making your character?

I jumped into the game and, honestly, I spent way too long just messing with the character creator. Tried out both options, obviously.
My Experiment Begins
First, I created a witch. Went through the whole intro, got sorted into Gryffindor (roar!), and started running around doing quests. I paid close attention to how people talked to me.
Then, I did the whole thing again, but this time as a wizard. Same house, same starting quests, just to keep things consistent. I was like a detective, looking for any tiny differences.
The Results?
- Dialogue: Pretty much nobody cared. Seriously. Most folks just call you “the new fifth-year” or something like that. Super general.
- Clothes: I noticed maybe a couple of super minor style differences in some of the outfits, but nothing major. It’s not like witches get stuck with only dresses or wizards are forced into pointy hats.
- Gameplay: Zero difference. Spells, quests, exploration… all the same.
So, my conclusion after all this rigorous testing? It really doesn’t matter. Pick whichever you vibe with more. It’s all about how you want to look while you’re slinging spells and exploring the castle. Don’t sweat the small stuff!
