Today, I’m gonna dive into something a little different – “Ellen Burning Questions”. I got this idea from a friend. It’s kinda like a game with random questions to get conversations going.

So, I grabbed my phone and searched “Ellen Burning Questions” and found some. Some people online said it’s great for parties or gatherings. I don’t go to many parties, so I just tried it out at home with my family.
First, I wrote down all the questions I could find. I didn’t use any official sources, just whatever I saw on random websites and forums. People were posting all sorts of questions. Some were funny, some were weird, and some were kinda deep.
Trying It Out
We started with some easy questions, like “What’s your favorite pizza topping?” That was simple enough. My kid yelled “Pepperoni!” before I even finished the question. My wife said “Mushrooms,” which I still don’t get, but whatever. Then we moved on to some tougher ones.
One question was “If you could have any superpower, what would it be?” I said “Flying,” because who wouldn’t want to fly? My kid said, “Invisibility,” which is a little suspect if you ask me. My wife, being all practical, said, “The ability to instantly clean the house.” I gotta admit, that would be pretty useful.
Getting Deep
Then we hit some really thought-provoking questions. Stuff like, “What’s the meaning of life?” and “What’s your biggest regret?” Those were heavy. We kinda stumbled through those, not really knowing what to say. It wasn’t all smooth, but it was interesting to see what everyone came up with.

For example, when we got to the “meaning of life” question, we all just kinda stared at each other. My kid, being a kid, said something like “Having fun and eating candy.” Fair enough. My wife and I tried to come up with something more profound, but we mostly ended up rambling about happiness and making a difference in the world. It wasn’t very coherent, but it was real.
My Thoughts
Honestly, it was a mixed bag. Some questions were fun and easy, others were kinda awkward or too personal. But it did get us talking about things we normally wouldn’t discuss. And it was kinda cool to see different sides of my family. I mean, who knew my kid wanted to be invisible?
Would I recommend it? Yeah, I guess so. It’s a decent way to spark some unusual conversations. Just be prepared for some awkward moments and maybe some answers you weren’t expecting. You might learn something new about the people you play with, or even about yourself. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely something different to try.
- Just write things down.
- Start with easy questions.
- Get ready for some rambling.
- It’s a mixed bag, but give it a shot.
It was a fun little experiment, nothing life-changing, but a good way to kill some time and have a few laughs. If you’re bored and looking for something to do, give it a try. You might be surprised by what you find out.
