This Pebble Beach, I hear about it all the time. Sounds fancy, huh? My grandson, he’s always going on about golf. Says it’s a real nice place, this Pebble Beach. But I tell ya, it sure sounds like it costs a pretty penny.

So, how much is this cost of Pebble Beach? I heard some folks talking ’bout it down at the market. Sounded like a whole lot of money to me, just to hit a little ball around.
Pebble Beach Cost a Lot
They say you gotta stay at some fancy hotel just to play there. Stayin’ there’s gonna cost ya, I reckon. And then you gotta pay to play, too! I heard someone say it’s like, six hundred and twenty-five dollars! Just to play! That’s what they say. Plus, that stay is gonna cost you more. They say it’s like, nine hundred dollars a night! Sounds like a rip-off to me. That’s a lot of dough for a bed and a little ball game.
My old man used to say, “You work hard for your money.” And he was right. This cost of Pebble Beach, it’s like throwing your money away, seems to me. You can have fun without spendin’ all that. If you want to know the cost of Pebble Beach, you should have a look yourself.
Stayin’ at Pebble Beach
They got these fancy hotels there, I hear. One’s called the Inn at Spanish Bay. Sounds like a place for rich folks. They got another one, too, I forget the name. But you gotta stay at one of ’em if you wanna play at Pebble Beach. It is a cost of Pebble Beach that many folks don’t want.
- Inn at Spanish Bay – $920 a night, they say!
- Other fancy hotel – price unknown, but probably a lot!
Nine hundred and twenty dollars! For one night! You could buy a whole lot of groceries for that kind of money. Or a new cow! Or pay someone to do your chores for a year! This Pebble Beach cost is gettin’ outta hand.

Playin’ at Pebble Beach
So you pay all that money to stay there, and then you gotta pay more just to play. They call it a “green fee.” Sounds silly to me. Why not just call it what it is? Money! Lots and lots of money! Six hundred and twenty-five dollars, just like that. And you have to plan in advance to even do it. You can’t just walk up to Pebble Beach and pay to play. You have to stay at their fancy hotels just for a chance.
And they say it’s right by the ocean. Big, scary ocean. I wouldn’t want my ball going in there. Lose your ball, that’s more money down the drain! My grandson says it is pretty, but I don’t know. I like my views cheap. This cost of Pebble Beach is too much.
More Pebble Beach Cost
Then they got these little carts you can ride around in. Probably cost extra, too. And a caddie? What’s a caddie? Someone to carry your clubs? Sounds like another way to get your money. They’re probably not cheap, these caddies. Everything at this place is about the cost of Pebble Beach. They say the whole thing to play is two thousand dollars, maybe more.
And apparently, there’s a time of year when it’s even more expensive! They call it “peak season.” Like the cost of everything peaks. Happens during the warmer months, April to October, they say. Like everything blooms, including the price. This Pebble Beach cost only gets bigger, I tell ya.
Back in my day, we didn’t have all this fancy stuff. We had fun without spendin’ a fortune. We’d find a field, hit a ball around, didn’t cost us nothin’. These young folks today, they don’t know the value of a dollar. They are willin’ to pay any cost of Pebble Beach.

Is Pebble Beach Worth It?
So, is this Pebble Beach worth all that money? I don’t think so. Not one bit. You’re payin’ for the name, I reckon. The fancy name, Pebble Beach. And the ocean view. But you can get a nice view for free if you know where to look. You don’t need to pay the cost of Pebble Beach to see something pretty.
If you got that kind of money to throw around, well, good for you. But me, I’ll stick to my simple life. I don’t need no fancy golf course or expensive hotel. I’m happy with what I got. And I sure as heck ain’t payin’ no nine hundred dollars a night for a bed. I’d rather sleep in my own bed, thank you very much. That cost of Pebble Beach just ain’t for me.
I guess if you really, really love golf, maybe it’s worth it to you. But for me? No way. I’d rather spend my money on somethin’ useful. Somethin’ that lasts. Like a good pair of shoes. Or a new chicken for the coop. Or maybe a nice pie from the market. That’s worth more than this cost of Pebble Beach to me.
I guess some folks dream of playin’ there. My grandson, he talks about it all the time. Says he’s gonna play there someday. I just hope he saves up his money. A whole lot of money. ‘Cause that Pebble Beach cost ain’t gonna pay for itself.
So, there you have it. That’s what I know about the cost of Pebble Beach. Sounds like a whole lot of money for a game, if you ask me. But hey, to each their own, I reckon. Just remember what my old man said: “A fool and his money are soon parted.” And he was a wise man, that old man of mine. He sure wouldn’t pay the cost of Pebble Beach, that’s for sure.
