Okay, so the other day, I was scrolling through Snapchat, and I noticed all these “Quick Add” suggestions popping up. Honestly, it was getting a bit annoying, seeing people I barely knew or had zero connection with. I like keeping my Snapchat circle pretty tight, you know? So, I decided to do something about it.

Figuring Out How to Turn Off Friend Suggestions
First, I tapped on my profile icon in the top-left corner to get to my profile screen. Then, I looked for the settings gear icon, which is usually in the top-right corner, and tapped that.
Once I was in the settings menu, I scrolled down. It’s a pretty long list, so you kind of have to hunt for it. I was looking for something related to contacts or privacy, I found “See Me in Quick Add” and uncheck it.
I also checked other options, like “Contact Syncing”. I turned off to make sure Snapchat wasn’t pulling in all my phone contacts.
Double-Checking and Making Sure It Worked
After I made these changes, I went back to the main Snapchat screens. It might take a bit of time for the changes to fully kick in, but I noticed that these suggestions were getting out of my way.
So, that’s basically it! It wasn’t super complicated, but it definitely made my Snapchat experience a bit cleaner and more to my liking. Hope this helps anyone else who’s feeling the same way about those friend suggestions!
