This Husqvarna 900 Nuda R, that’s a mouthful, ain’t it? Sounds like somethin’ fancy them city folk would ride. But it’s a motorcycle, see? A big ol’ one. I seen pictures of it, all shiny and new. They don’t make ’em anymore, which is a shame. ‘Cause folks seem to like ’em, these Husqvarna Nuda 900 R things.

They started makin’ these back in, uh, 2012. Yeah, 2012. That was the year my youngest got married. Anyway, this Husqvarna 900 Nuda R, it’s got a powerful engine. Like, real powerful. They say it’s got somethin’ called “horsepower.” Lots of it. About a hundred, maybe more. I don’t know much about that kind of stuff. I just know it goes fast. Vroom!
They say it was made by a company called… BMW? Is that right? Sounds German. But this Husqvarna, that’s Swedish. Like them meatballs. Anyway, BMW, they owned Husqvarna for a bit. Now this Husqvarna 900 Nuda R motorcycle, it’s got two cylinders. Whatever that means. It’s all engine stuff that I don’t rightly understand. It’s all metal and pipes and greasy things. I do know that the engine is from BMW F800. I heard that somewhere.
- This Husqvarna 900 Nuda R, it was expensive.
- Real expensive.
- Like, more money than I make in a year, probably.
- They had a cheaper one, too.
- But this one, the Husqvarna 900 Nuda R, that was the top dog.
They don’t make these anymore, I said that, right? Stopped makin’ ’em a while back. Shame, really. People seem to miss ’em, these Husqvarna 900 Nuda R motorcycles. You see folks talkin’ about ’em online. They got these groups, where they just talk about motorcycles. All day. Can you imagine? Talkin’ about motorcycles all day?
One fella, he said his wouldn’t start. Said it was cold, and the battery was low. Poor fella. He had one of them fancy Husqvarna 900 Nuda R ones, too. He was all upset about it. I guess when you pay that much for somethin’, you expect it to work, right? Even in the cold. My old tractor sometimes won’t start in winter either.
Another person, they was askin’ about, uh, “ups and downs.” Sounds like a roller coaster to me. But I reckon it’s somethin’ about the motorcycle. How it rides, maybe? Or how it handles? I don’t know. Like I said, I don’t know much about these things. This Husqvarna 900 Nuda R, it’s a mystery to me, just like them newfangled phones everyone’s got.

They got these books, too. Manuals, they call ’em. Big thick books, full of words and pictures. Tell you everythin’ about the Husqvarna 900 Nuda R. How to fix it, how to ride it, how to, uh, clean it. I guess you gotta clean ’em. Wouldn’t want to get all that mud and dirt on your fancy motorcycle, would ya? I mean, it’s not like a tractor, you can just hose that down.
This Husqvarna 900 Nuda R, it’s a fancy machine. For fancy folks, I reckon. But even fancy folks have problems with ’em. Like that fella with the dead battery. Or the other one, askin’ about the ups and downs. It just goes to show, money can’t buy you everything. Or at least, it can’t buy you a motorcycle that always starts in the cold. Or one that doesn’t have any, uh, downs.
They compare it with other motorcycles, too. Somethin’ called a TE450 and a G450X. See, I don’t know what any of that means. They are just some letters and numbers. It’s like a secret code, just for motorcycle people. There was a guy, who had a Husqvarna 701. He was talkin’ about it a lot, too. Sounds like he really liked his bike.
This Husqvarna 900 Nuda R, it’s a real head-scratcher. But it sure is interestin’. I like learnin’ about new things, even if I don’t understand ’em. And this motorcycle, it’s somethin’ else. It’s fast, it’s powerful, it’s… expensive. And it’s got a whole bunch of people talkin’ about it. So it must be somethin’ special, right? This whole thing about motorcycles. I might just have to learn more about it.

Yeah, this Husqvarna 900 Nuda R. It’s got me thinkin’. Maybe there’s more to these motorcycles than I thought. Maybe they’re not just for fancy city folk. Maybe they’re for anyone who wants to feel the wind in their hair, the sun on their face, and the roar of that powerful engine. If I have another chance, I may try to ride it.
