You know, that Husqvarna Nuda 900 R, that’s a name I heard some young folks talking about the other day. They say it’s a motorcycle. A fancy one, too. I don’t know much about these things, but I heard some things that I can tell ya.

This Nuda 900 R, they say it came out back in 2012. That’s a while back, ain’t it? Time sure does fly. It was made when that Swedish brand, Husqvarna, was with BMW. You know, that big car company. Big companies buying and selling, always something going on, I tell ya. Anyway, it had the same engine as some BMW bike, the F800, whatever that means. It’s all engine this and engine that, all I know is it goes vroom.
They said it had about 100 horsepower. Now, I don’t know what a horse has to do with a motorcycle, but I guess more is better? I always say, the more the merrier. Then, they stopped making it, just like that. Just like when they stopped selling my favorite candy at the general store. One day it’s there, the next it’s gone.
This Nuda 900 R, it was not cheap. I heard it was more expensive than other motorcycles. They said 9295 of them fancy money. That’s a lot of dough! You could buy a whole lot of other stuff for that much. There was another one, not the R, just the plain 900, that was a bit cheaper, maybe 1300 less, so 7995. Still a lot of money if you ask me.
Some fella said it was more expensive than a Triumph Street Triple R. Another name I don’t know. It’s all a bunch of names. But this Triumph thing, it cost 7550. See, cheaper!
- Husqvarna Nuda 900 R
- Expensive motorcycle
- 100 horsepower
- Stopped making it
They say it feels big when you sit on it. I imagine it’s like sitting on one of them big farm tractors, but faster, I reckon. I wouldn’t know, though. I prefer my two feet on the ground, thank you very much.

One young man, he said he’s gonna buy one next week. He was asking what to look for. Well, I don’t know about motorcycles, but I know about buying things. You gotta look at it real good, check for any problems, make sure everything is working right. Same as buying a good milk cow. You gotta check their teeth, their hooves, make sure they ain’t sick. I guess it’s the same for motorcycles, gotta check the engine, the wheels, whatever else they got.
Some folks say there ain’t many bad things about the Husqvarna Nuda 900 R. They say it’s a “cracker of a bike.” I don’t know what that means, but it sounds good, I guess. Like a good, crispy cracker, maybe? It’s got 105 horsepower, they say, and 100nm of torque. Now, what’s a torque? Is that like when a bull gets stubborn?
I heard someone talking about a review of the Nuda 900 R. They talked about the engine, some kind of parallel twin, liquid-cooled, injection, 898 c.c. engine. Sounds complicated! It delivers 105 hp at 8500 rpm. Whatever that means. It’s all numbers and letters to me. I just know it goes fast.
Some say this bike was rare. Hard to find, like a four-leaf clover. Someone was surprised they even saw one in India. That’s far away, ain’t it?
They say it was based on the BMW F800. That BMW again! They’re everywhere, I tell ya.

Someone said the Nuda 900 R was cheaper than a used one with lots of kilometers on it. And it was about the same price as a plain Nuda 900 with fewer kilometers. Like buying a used car, I guess. You gotta watch out for them high mileage ones.
- Engine: parallel twin, liquid-cooled, injection, 898 c.c.
- 105 hp at 8500 rpm
- Rare motorcycle
- Based on BMW F800
Well, that’s all I heard about that Husqvarna Nuda 900 R. Sounds like a fancy, fast motorcycle. Not my cup of tea, but I guess some folks like that kind of thing. Me, I’ll stick to my rocking chair. It may not be fast, but it’s comfortable, and it gets me where I need to go, which is usually just to the front porch to watch the world go by. And that’s just fine by me.
