Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole IndyCar thing from 1970. It’s pretty wild how different those cars were back then!

First, I started by just watching some old races on YouTube. I mean, you gotta see these beasts in action, right? The sound, the speed… it’s a whole different vibe.
My Deep Dive Research
- Looked up pictures. Tons of them. I wanted to see the shapes, the wings (or lack thereof), the engines, everything.
- Read some old articles. Found some scans of magazines from back in the day – pretty cool to see the original reporting.
- Tried to find some blueprints, or at least some really detailed diagrams. This was tougher, but I found a few that gave me a better idea of the chassis design.
It’s amazing that I found some good stuff, those cars are really something else.
Then, I spent some time just comparing the 1970 cars to modern IndyCars. The differences are insane! The safety features alone… wow. Those guys were brave back then.
Finally, I compiled all my notes and images. I wanted to have a good record of what I learned. I also did that just for better understanding, it’s a very good way, isn’t it? It’s become kind of an obsession, I guess!
