Well, let me tell you, I seen this thing they call the Inter Miami third kit. It’s somethin’ else, I tell ya. All these colors, like a rainbow threw up on a shirt, but somehow, it kinda works. Kinda like my old quilt, all patched up but still pretty.
They say it’s for this soccer team, Inter Miami, down in Florida. Heard they got some fancy players on that team. Must be nice to run around in somethin’ so bright. I reckon it’d be hard to lose someone on the field when they wearin’ that. My eyes ain’t what they used to be, but even I can spot that shirt from a mile away. They say it be inspired by Miami’s energetic and vibrant culture. Well, I ain’t never been to Miami, but it must be a right colorful place.
This Inter Miami third kit, it’s all new for this year, 2024, into 2025 I reckon. They call it a “third kit”. Don’t know why it’s called third, maybe they got two other shirts they wear. Back in my day, you had one shirt and you wore it till it fell apart. But these young’uns, they need a whole closet full of clothes, even for playin’ a game.
And get this, this shirt, it ain’t just any old shirt. They say it’s made from “recycled polyester”. Now, I don’t know what that fancy word means, but it sounds like they makin’ clothes outta old plastic bottles or somethin’. Good for the earth, I suppose. Less trash in the fields, more shirts for the soccer players. World’s gone mad, I tell ya, but at least they doin’ somethin’ right, I guess.
I seen some pictures online. Some folks call it leaked, like it’s some big secret. It ain’t no secret to me, it’s just a shirt! A bright, colorful shirt. These Inter Miami players, they gonna wear it on Saturday, I hear. Big day for ’em, I suppose. Gettin’ all dressed up in their new duds. Hope they win, wearin’ that getup. Be a shame to lose when you lookin’ that bright.
They say this shirt, it’s supposed to show off your love for the club. Now, I don’t know much about this Inter Miami club, but I reckon if you wearin’ their colors, you must be a fan. It’s like wearin’ your heart on your sleeve, or in this case, on your whole chest. You see these young folks nowdays, it’s all about showing who you are and what team you back.
This Inter Miami new jersey sure is somethin’ to look at. Bold, they call it. And vibrant. Just like the city, they say. Makes you stand out in a crowd. Wouldn’t catch me wearin’ somethin’ like that, but I ain’t playin’ soccer neither. I guess if you want to be seen, this is the shirt for you.
They only makin’ a few of these shirts, though. “Limited quantities,” they say. Makes it sound special, I guess. Like a prized pig at the county fair. Everyone wants one, but not everyone can have one. Makes you want it even more, don’t it? That’s what they say, at least. They know how to get these folks to buy things. These young people will buy anythin’, I swear.

World keeps on turnin’, and I’ll just be here, watchin’ it all go by. Maybe I’ll see one of these shirts in person one day. Wouldn’t that be somethin’?
This adidas makes this shirt, by the way. See their name on it big as day. They make all sorts of things. Seen their shoes, their pants. Now they making these bright shirts for Inter Miami. Big company, I reckon. They must be doing something right, everyone buying their stuff. These big companies, they know how to sell you things you don’t need. But hey, if it makes people happy, who am I to judge? As long as they ain’t causing no trouble, let them wear their bright shirts and play their soccer. I got my garden to tend to, and that’s enough for me. This Inter Miami jersey, well, it ain’t for me. But I can see why folks like it. It’s different, that’s for sure. And sometimes, different is good. Sometimes.
