Well, you see, this here Ireland rugby team jersey, it’s a big deal, you know? My grandson, he’s all about that rugby. He says it’s the best sport, and Ireland, they’re the best at it. This jersey thing is what they wear when they play, a green shirt. He says that if you want to show love to the Ireland team, you need to have one.
This thing, it’s green, like the grass we got out back. And they got these white shorts, too. Kinda like what my old man used to wear to work in the fields, ‘cept these are for playin’ that rugby game. They say it’s a big deal. Many years ago, I forgot, maybe 200, maybe more, they started playing the game. Now, we have the jerseys to wear. It is good to have a way to celebrate, you know.

And they got some other games, too… “Six Nations,” they call it. They say it’s gonna start in February. They have all kinds of words for it, like “emerging”, like a baby chicken. I saw it on the TV, this rugby. Lots of runnin’ and pushin’. Big fellas, too. And they all wearin’ those green shirts, these Ireland rugby team jersey things. Makes ’em look like a team, I reckon. It’s a good thing, you know. To support your team. And these guys in green, they’re good. I heard they are like a big family. They play together and fight together.

You want to be one of them, you know. So, they sell them, and people buy them. They want to be part of the team, even if they are not on the field.
You know, that rugby, it’s a rough game. But it’s good, I think. It teaches those boys to be tough. And to work together. And these shirts, these Ireland rugby team jersey things, they’re part of that. They are green, like Ireland. They show that you are part of the team. You don’t need to play to wear it, you know.
