Alright, so, I was messing around with this character, Sova, in the game. You know, the dude with the bow and arrow from Russia. I wanted to see if I could make him work as a tank. I mean, everyone usually uses him for scouting and stuff, but I had this crazy idea to turn him into a damage sponge.

First off, I jumped into a few matches just to get a feel for how Sova plays normally. He’s got this Owl Drone that he uses to scout ahead, which is pretty cool. And his Shock Bolt, which he can bounce off walls, is great for poking enemies. But his regular health and defense? Nothing special. He’s definitely not built like a tank.
Next, I started experimenting with his gear.
- Tried giving him items that boost health and armor.
- Played around with some abilities to see if I could make him tougher.
I mean, it’s no surprise that this game is not set up for that play style. It was tough. Really tough. Sova’s just not made for soaking up damage. I kept getting taken out fast because, well, he’s an archer, not a knight in shining armor.
My Experiment Result
After a bunch of tries, I gotta say, it was pretty much a fail. No matter what I did, Sova just couldn’t hang in there like a true tank. He’s awesome for scouting and getting info on where the other team is hiding, but as a frontline fighter? Nope. It just doesn’t work. Sova is an agent you play strategically and methodically, not one you run into the fire with. But hey, at least I gave it a shot, right? I did a bit of digging on why Sova’s not really a tanky type, and it seems like the folks who made the game designed him specifically for recon and precise strikes. Makes sense. They probably didn’t imagine some guy trying to turn their strategic archer into a bullet-absorbing wall.
In the end, I learned that you gotta play to a character’s strengths. Sova’s strengths are in his ability to track, find, and give his team the upper hand with information, not in being a damage sponge. So, I guess I’ll stick to using him the way he was meant to be played. But it was a fun experiment, and who knows, maybe I’ll try some other weird ideas in the future!
