I’ve been seeing this name, Jaka Bijol, pop up a lot lately, so I figured I’d dig into who this guy is. Turns out, he’s a football player, a midfielder from Slovenia. I’m not the biggest sports buff, but I always like to know a bit about these popular names.

First thing I did was check out his current gig.
Looks like he’s playing for Udinese Calcio, some team in Italy, since 2022. Plays center-back for them. The word on the street, or well, the internet, is that he’s worth around €18 million. Not too shabby, huh? This guy’s only 25, born on February 5, 1999, in a place called Vuzenica.
Then I started looking into his stats, because why not?
- He’s been in 15 matches this season in Serie A.
- They even track his goals for the 2024/2025 season. And get this, they have something called “expected goal value” for each one. Sounds fancy.
I also wanted to see if he plays for his country.
Yep, he does. Plays for the Slovenia men’s national team. I found a bunch of stats on his national team appearances and goals, but honestly, it’s all a bit much for me. I just wanted a general idea.

After that, I got a bit carried away and looked at his transfer history.
This part was interesting. You can see which teams he’s played for and how much money was involved when he moved around. It’s like the stock market, but for football players. I won’t bore you with the details, but there’s a whole page dedicated to his transfer value and contract length.
Finally, I checked out a page with all his detailed stats.
You can filter by period, club, all that jazz. I glanced over it, but it’s pretty intense. It has everything from appearances to goals to cards. This Bijol guy seems like a big deal in the football world, even if I’m not totally into it.
So, what did I learn?
Jaka Bijol is a 25-year-old Slovenian footballer playing for Udinese Calcio in Italy and also for his national team. He’s apparently quite valuable and has a ton of stats tracked about his performance. I guess he’s someone to keep an eye on if you’re into football. For me, it was a fun little dive into a world I don’t usually explore. I might not be a sports expert now, but at least I know who Jaka Bijol is!
