Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with NBA 2K, specifically trying to get some new looks for the Utah Jazz. I’m not a professional designer or anything, I just like playing around with these things in my spare time.
I started by looking up some concept jerseys that other people had made. You can find tons of these online. Some are really out there, some are pretty simple. I just wanted to get some inspiration, you know?
Then I found out about these mods for the game. If you don’t know, a mod is basically a fan-made change or addition to the game. Turns out, there are these jersey mods for NBA 2K22 and even some for 2K21. People have made their own custom jerseys, courts, even rosters, and uploaded them so others can use them.
So, I downloaded a couple of these mods. There was one made by a user named “kobedurant” that had some cool updated Jazz jerseys and some concept ones, too. I installed it, which was pretty easy—just followed the instructions on the mod page. And boom, I had some fresh new jerseys in the game. The mountain jerseys are my favorite.
There was another mod I found by “Ga12lol” that had a different concept uniform for the Jazz in NBA 2K21. I gave that one a try, too. It’s fun to switch between them and see what they look like in the game.
I also found out that the actual Jazz team is going to be using four uniforms during the 2024-25 season. Two of them are new designs, and two are ones they’ve used before. I tried to see if anyone had modded those into the game yet, but I couldn’t find anything. Maybe I’ll try to make them myself sometime.
Honestly, it’s really cool what people can do with these mods. It makes the game feel fresh, even if it’s just a little change like a new jersey. If you’re into NBA 2K and want to try something new, I definitely recommend checking out some of these mods. It’s a lot of fun seeing your team run out in a jersey that you like, especially if you’re not a fan of their real-life ones. For example, the current statement jersey is not as good as the mountain jersey.

Why I did this
I just think it is a cool idea. It was fun to do, and maybe it’ll give you some ideas. It’s cool that you can make these changes to the game, right? Also, the current statement jersey is not as good as these modded ones, to be honest. So I really enjoyed the game with these great jerseys.
