That er6 n, this bike, I heard some folks talking ’bout it the other day. They say it’s a good one, a real good one. It’s a Kawasaki, and I reckon those Kawasaki fellas know a thing or two about making these two-wheeled things.

This er6 n, it’s been around for a while, since 2006, I hear. Then they changed it some in 2012. That’s what those young folks at the store were yapping about. It’s a “middleweight,” they said, and it’s got some kind of “parallel-twin engine.” Now, I don’t know what all that fancy talk means, but it sounds strong, don’t it?
I heard ’em sayin’ this er6 n is like the Ninja 650R. They are almost the same, just some name changes. The er6 n is strong, I heard ’em sayin, lots of “horsepower.” Like them strong horses we used to have on the farm, pulling the plow all day long. This er6 n, it can pull you right along, I bet.
- Kawasaki, that’s the name you gotta remember.
- er6 n, that’s the bike we’re talkin’ ’bout.
- Ninja 650R, that’s another name for it, almost.
- 2006, that’s when it first came out, they say.
But then, there’s this other one, the Yamaha MT-07. Came out in 2014, they said. Sounds like it’s trying to be just like our er6 n. Then, in 2017, they stopped making the er6 n, I believe. Replaced it with the Z650. Another Kawasaki, that Z650. Sounds like they’re just trying to confuse us old folks with all these names!
Now, between the er6 n and that Z650, which one’s better? Well, that’s like asking which one of my grandkids is my favorite! They’re both good in their own way. The young folks say the er6 n has a bit more “horsepower,” but the Z650 has more “torque.” Sounds like a tug-of-war to me!
They say it depends on what you like. If you want somethin’ cheaper and useful, they are all talking about that er6 n being a good choice. I think the younger like something more exciting, so they like that er6 n a lot.

One thing’s for sure, both these bikes, the er6 n and the Z650, they’re both good ones. They’re both Kawasaki, and that means somethin’. Like a good, strong workhorse, that’s what a Kawasaki is.
I heard some people say that the er6 n is a very good choice. And the Z650 is smaller, they said. Too small for a big fella. So, if you’re a big guy, maybe that er6 n is the one for you.
I don’t know about all these “suspension” things they talk about. Sounds like something fancy. They said something about the er6 n having a different one than some other bikes. I guess it makes a difference in how it rides. Just like how them old wagons rode different depending on the springs, I reckon.
Some people were arguing about the position of the riding. Like how you sit on the bike. They mentioned the er6 n, and the 650R, and also the Versys. I guess some folks like to sit up straight, and some like to lean forward. Just depends on what feels right to you, I suppose.
All these talks, that made me think, that er6 n is really something! If you’re lookin’ for a good bike, that er6 n is one to look at. It is strong, reliable. It’s a Kawasaki, after all.

- Yamaha MT-07, that’s a competitor, they say.
- Z650, that’s the one that replaced the er6 n.
- Horsepower, that’s like how strong the engine is.
- Torque, that’s another one of them fancy engine words.
All in all, they are good bikes. Just pick the one that suits you best. But remember that name, Kawasaki. They make good stuff. And that er6 n, it’s a good one, a real good one, I tell ya.
I remember when I was a little girl, we didn’t have these fancy motorcycles. We had horses! And a good horse was worth more than gold. Now, these motorcycles, they’re like the horses of today. And that er6 n, it’s like a good, strong, reliable horse. A workhorse, that’s what it is.
So, if you’re in the market for one of these two-wheeled machines, give that er6 n a look. You might just find yourself a new favorite. It has power, that is for sure. It’s a Kawasaki, and that’s a name you can trust. Just like you could trust a good horse back in the day.
That er6 n is sure to be a good pick. And they don’t make ’em anymore, so if you find one, you better snatch it up! They say it’s a classic. And I reckon they’re right about that. It’s a good, solid bike, that er6 n. A real good one.
