Okay, so today was game day! I’ve been waiting all week for this Chiefs game. First thing this morning, I started checking online to see where I could watch it. Turns out, it was going to be on CBS. Perfect! I already had that channel.

Then, I remembered some games you can stream online. So I double-checked that. Yep, it was also on Paramount+, which was an option in case my cable acted up. I also saw that you can watch games on Fubo TV, DirecTV, and YouTube TV. Good to know for future games, I thought.
Now, the Chiefs already got a bye for the first round of the playoffs – awesome! This game was more about the seeding. I wanted to know who they might play next. The options were the Chargers, Steelers, Texans, or Broncos. I saw a note that they won’t face the Bills or Ravens until the AFC Championship Game. That was a relief!
Around lunchtime, I looked up the local channels to make sure I wouldn’t miss anything. For folks in Kansas City, it was on KCTV5, and in Wichita, it was KWCH 12. And if you’re into listening on the radio, KFNZ (96.5 FM) and WDAF (106.5 FM) were the stations in the KC area. I decided to watch it on TV, though.
Checking the Game Time
Next, I confirmed the kickoff time. It was set for 4:25 p.m. Eastern Time. I quickly did the math to figure out what that meant for me. Plenty of time to get some snacks ready!
I saw somewhere online that some folks were looking for ways to watch the game for free. Apparently, if you don’t have cable, you could still catch it on CBS. That’s pretty cool for people who’ve cut the cord.

There was even a site that helps you personalize your Chiefs schedule based on where you live and the services you have. I made a mental note to check that out later so I don’t miss any games in the future.
