Okay, so, I’ve been meaning to catch a game between the KC Current and the Washington Spirit for a while now. These two teams, man, they’re something else. Always a good show. So, I finally decided, “This is it, I’m doing it.”
First thing I did was check out when they were playing. Turns out, there’s a match on September 20th, 2024, at the CPKC Stadium in Kansas City. Perfect! Then I got another game on August 25th at Audi Field, Washington DC. That’s the plan.
Next up, tickets. I went straight to the online ticketing websites. They had all sorts of options, from regular seats to those fancy VIP ones. I’m not made of money, so I went for some decent seats in the West Sideline Club – heard the view’s pretty good from there. Plus, they threw in free VIP parking. Not bad, right?

Then I started digging into the teams a bit more. I mean, I know they’re good, but I wanted to see what the buzz was about. Turns out, the Washington Spirit has these hardcore supporter groups at Audi Field – the Spirit Squadron, Rose Room Collective, and a few others. They’re loud, they’re passionate, they really bring the energy. It’s like a whole different vibe in there.
Audi Field itself, from what I gather, is a pretty cool stadium. It’s in Buzzard Point, seats about 20,000. It’s home to a bunch of teams, not just the Spirit. Seems like a good place to catch a game, with a lot of energy.
After that, I did some searching about the game. There are many promotions. But I haven’t decided yet. I will keep searching and update it here.
So yeah, that’s where I’m at now. Got the tickets, did a bit of research, and I’m pretty pumped for the game. It’s gonna be a blast, I can feel it. I’ll definitely post an update after the match. Maybe even grab some pics or videos if I can. Stay tuned!
