Well, let me tell ya, there’s this fella named Ken Woodard, and I reckon he’s done quite a few things in his time. Some folks might know him from the football field, others might know him from his writing. Either way, he’s been a busy man, and his name sure pops up in different places. Now, let’s see if I can remember all the bits about him—don’t go rushin’ me though, I’m not as quick as I used to be!
Now, I heard tell that there’s more than one Ken Woodard in the world, but I’m gonna start with the football one. Ken Woodard, the linebacker, he played for the Denver Broncos, back in the day when they wore them orange uniforms and played real rough. I can’t say I know much about football, but I heard he was a tough one. In one of them games, he even got 2 sacks! That’s some fancy talk for stoppin’ the other team from makin’ points, I think. He helped the Broncos beat the Philadelphia Eagles, and I reckon that must’ve been a real celebration in them parts.
Now, as for the other Ken Woodard, the one who writes, I’ve heard that his name is Kenneth L. Woodward, and he’s been around for quite a spell too. Born in 1935, he’s got a lot of years behind him. He worked as an editor at this big magazine called Newsweek, back in the 60s, when things were a whole lot different than they are now. I’m sure he’s seen a lot, and probably wrote a whole lot about all them fancy religious matters that folks are always talkin’ about. I don’t know much about all that myself, but I’m sure he’s done well for himself with all them words.
Then there’s this other bit I heard, that Ken Woodard, the writer, also got into books. I reckon if you’re lookin’ for something to read, you could look him up on Amazon. They say he’s written quite a few things, though I can’t say I’ve read any of them myself. I’m more of a sittin’ on the porch kinda reader, if you know what I mean. But still, it’s good to know people are out there doin’ things with their lives, right?
In any case, whether it’s the football player or the writer, it’s clear Ken Woodard’s been around the block. And I suppose, if you look hard enough, you can find just about anyone these days. Seems like everything’s online these days, don’t it? I reckon if Ken Woodard were around when I was younger, we’d’ve just heard about him through gossip and word of mouth, not all these fancy websites. But that’s how things are now, and we just gotta roll with it.
If you ask me, it don’t matter much which Ken Woodard you’re lookin’ for, they both sound like they’ve lived lives full of interestin’ things. I’d say if you’re curious, you should take a look for yourself, find out what these men have done. Maybe you’ll even find somethin’ you like in all the stuff they’ve written or done. Who knows, you might just learn somethin’ new, and that’s always a good thing.
