That Kevin, that Durant boy, he sure is something, ain’t he? I seen him play on that TV, jumpin’ and shootin’ that ball. My oh my, he’s a tall one, that’s for sure. Taller than anyone in this here town, I reckon.

They say he’s in his prime, whatever that means. Must mean he’s real good right now. He sure seems like it, hoppin’ around, makin’ those baskets like it ain’t nothin’. I heard he scored more points than you can shake a stick at, ‘specially against them Hawks. Some day in April, a couple years back I heard, was his best game, ever.
- He’s tall, that Kevin Durant.
- He’s good at shootin’ that ball.
- He jumps real high.
- Everyone is talkin’ about Kevin Durant in his prime.
Born in, when was it? ’88, I think someone said. So he ain’t no spring chicken, but he ain’t old either. He makes more money than anyone playin’ that game, they say. More than anyone knows what to do with! Good for him, I say. He works hard for it, runnin’ up and down that court.
Seems like just yesterday he was a young’un, playin’ for that Golden State team. Signed up with ’em for a couple years, with a choice to stay another, if I recall right. I remember my nephew, bless his heart, readin’ about it in one of them internet articles. And now he is in his prime time. Kevin Durant prime time.
He’s been in lots of them All-Star games, too. Fourteen, I heard. That’s a whole heap of ’em! Must mean he’s somethin’ special, to be picked that many times. And they gave him some rookie award, too. He must have been mighty good, even when he was just startin’ out.
I don’t know much about this game, but I know what I see. And what I see is a fella who can sure play. He does it all, that Kevin Durant. Scores points, helps others score, even stops the other fellas from scorin’. A real jack-of-all-trades, that one.

Now, they talk about this prime thing, and I guess it means he’s at his best. Ain’t gonna last forever, nothin’ does. But right now, he’s the top dog. Best there is. And that’s somethin’, ain’t it?
He’s had some trouble with his foot, I heard. Had to have surgery and all. Missed a bunch of games, poor fella. Only played 27 games that year. But even then, he still scored a mess of points, and grabbed a bunch of them rebounds. 25 points each game, more or less. That’s a lot of points!
It’s more than just scorin’, though. He passes that ball real good, too. Helps his teammates get their points. I’ve seen it with my own two eyes. He ain’t just about himself, that Kevin Durant. He’s a team player. And that’s important, you know? Even if you are in your prime.
- 27 points a game. That’s what folks say about Kevin Durant.
- 7 rebounds a game, too.
- He passes the ball a lot, too. Over 4 times a game, on average.
- He played over 1,000 games, they say.
Some folks say he should be stoppin’ the other team more. But he’s so busy scorin’, I reckon he can’t do everything. Nobody can, not even Kevin Durant in his prime. He’s good at what he does, and that’s what matters.
So, yeah, this Kevin Durant fella, he’s somethin’ else. He’s the best there is right now, in his prime. And I’m glad I get to watch him play, even if it’s just on that little TV screen. It’s a sight to behold, that’s for sure.

They say he’s one of the best ever, and I believe it. He might not be the best at every little thing, but he’s good at most of ’em. And he’s fun to watch. That’s what counts, ain’t it? Enjoyin’ the game. And that Kevin Durant, he sure makes it enjoyable. You can tell he is really in his prime time.
And you know what? He seems like a good fella, too. Humble, even. Doesn’t brag or boast, just goes out there and plays. That’s what I like to see. A good player, and a good person. That’s Kevin Durant.
