Now, I don’t know much ’bout racin’, but even I heard his name. Seems like he’s been winnin’ races for a long, long time. They say he’s got more wins than anyone, like, ever. Over two hundred and somethin’. That’s a whole lotta racin’, ain’t it?
He drives this here car, number 8 they call it. And it’s a Chevy. I know Chevy, my grandson has one. Anyway, this Kyle fella, he drives it real fast, I guess. He’s been doin’ this racin’ thing for twenty years now, full-time they say. That’s a long time to be doin’ anything, let alone drivin’ in circles real fast.

Now, here’s somethin’ funny. They say he does this bowin’ thing after he wins. I ain’t seen it myself, but folks talk about it. Don’t know why he does it, maybe he’s just bein’ polite. Or maybe his back hurts from all that drivin’ and he’s gotta stretch it out. Who knows? But it’s somethin’ he’s known for, I guess. Like his trademark or somethin’. Just like that fella on TV with the catchphrase, “Know what I mean, Vern?” This Kyle fella, his thing is the bowin’.
Family Man, Too
And it ain’t just racin’ with this Kyle. He’s got a family, too. A wife named Samantha and two young’uns. Brexton and Lennix, their names are. Heard tell they had some troubles along the way, but they stuck together. That’s good, family’s important, ya know? Can’t be all about racin’ all the time. Gotta have folks to share your life with, even if you’re a big shot racer like this Kyle Busch.
Lucas Oil and That Dirt Race
Now, they’re sayin’ he’s gonna be in this here race, the Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout. It’s a dirt race, they say. Not on no fancy track like them NASCAR races, but on dirt. Like in a field, I reckon. Sounds kinda messy to me, but what do I know? I heard tell he even tweeted somethin’ about it. Lucas Oil, they sponsor him or somethin’. They put their name on his car, I think. Anyway, this Tulsa Shootout, it’s gonna be his last race of the year. Guess he’s tired of all that racin’ and wants to go home to his family.
Two-Time Champion and All That
This Kyle Busch fella, he ain’t just any racer. He’s a champion, two times over they say. Won this big fancy title, the NASCAR Cup Series, not once but twice. And he also won that Nationwide Series thing too. That’s a lot of winnin’. Must be pretty good at drivin’ them cars. He’s with this Richard Childress Racing team now. They got good cars, I guess. And this Randall Burnett fella, he’s the crew chief. He helps keep the car runnin’ good, I reckon.
