Alright, alright, let’s gab a bit about this “la lakers radio,” whatever that fancy term means. You know, the thing where them fellas run around with a ball? My grandson, he’s always listenin’ to it, makin’ all sorts of noises. Drives me nuts sometimes, but hey, keeps him outta trouble, I guess. So, what’s the big deal with hearin’ them Lakers on the radio, huh?
Listenin’ to the Lakers Game, Whatever That Is
Now, they tell me there’s this place, somethin’ called “ESPN LA 710.” Sounds like a bunch of gibberish to me, but apparently, that’s where you go to hear them Lakers games. They say it’s the “flagship station,” like it’s some kinda big boat or somethin’. And it ain’t just around here, no sir. This here “Lakers Radio Network,” they call it, spreads out all over the “Southland,” and even way out in places like “HI” and “NM.” Don’t ask me what them letters mean, I ain’t no map reader.
- ESPN LA 710 – That’s where the Lakers yappin’ happens.
- Lakers Radio Network – They spread the word far and wide, like gossip in a small town.
- Southland, HI, NM – Places where folks can hear the games, I reckon.
Then there’s this “*” thingy. My grandson showed it to me once on that little shiny box he carries around. Said you can listen to all sorts of basketball on it. “NBA” they call it. Too much noise for me, all that squeakin’ and shoutin’. But he says you can hear the games live, just like you’re there, and they tell you the scores right away. Guess that’s handy if you’re one of them folks who cares about numbers.
Live Games and Whatnot
Seems like there’s a bunch of places to catch these games on the radio. You got “ESPN LA 710” in Los Angeles, blabberin’ away. And then there’s “ESPN 630 AM,” another one of them stations, doin’ the same thing. They all say they got “live coverage,” which I guess means it’s happenin’ right then and there. My grandson gets all worked up listenin’ to it, jumpin’ around like a chicken with its head cut off.

And it ain’t just the Lakers, mind you. You can hear all sorts of teams playin’. Like them “Clippers,” another Los Angeles bunch. Or the “Charlotte Hornets,” whoever they are. Sounds like a bunch of bees to me. But they say you can listen to all these games on the radio, just like you’re sittin’ in the stands, only without all the bother of leavin’ the house.
It’s All Just Noise to Me, But…
Now, I ain’t gonna lie to ya. I don’t get the fuss about listenin’ to the radio. Seems like a waste of time to me. But these young folks, they seem to like it. And I guess it’s better than them starin’ at them screens all day long, makin’ their eyes go square. So if you’re one of them folks who likes hearin’ about them fellas runnin’ around with a ball, then I guess this “la lakers radio” stuff is for you.
They got all these stations, like that “ESPN LA 710” and “ESPN 630 AM,” playin’ the games live. And you can find it on that “*” thingy too, if you’re fancy like that. And they don’t just play the Lakers, no sir. You got the Clippers, the Hornets, all sorts of teams. So there you have it. Everything I know about this “la lakers radio,” even though I don’t care much about it. At least my grandson is happy and that is all what matters, he says its better than watching the TV shows I watch. kids these days.
Finding the Right Station

So, if you are wantin’ to listen to these here Lakers games, or whatever NBA basketball game it is you wanna hear, seems like you gotta find the right radio station. Like I said before, “ESPN LA 710” seems to be the main one for the Lakers ’round here. But if you ain’t in Los Angeles, maybe you gotta find somethin’ else. They said somethin’ about “regional sports stations.” Guess that means you gotta find a station that covers your area.
And there’s that “*” thing too, if you got one of them fancy computer things. My grandson says you can find all sorts of stations on there, no matter where you are. Sounds complicated to me, but he seems to figure it out alright. Anyways, the point is, if you wanna hear the game, you gotta do a little bit of lookin’ around to find the right place to listen. It ain’t just gonna magically appear in your kitchen, you know.
Now, I’m done talkin’ about this “la lakers radio” stuff. My head’s startin’ to hurt just thinkin’ about it. All them numbers and stations and whatnot. I’d rather go back to watchin’ my stories on the TV, where things make a bit more sense, well, to me anyways. But you young folks, you go ahead and enjoy your basketball games. Just try not to make too much noise, alright? And don’t forget to eat your vegetables.
