Okay, so I wanted to get a better handle on the female fighters in Bellator, and I figured the best way to do that was to just dive in and start digging. Here’s how I went about it.

Getting Started: The Roster
First things first, I needed a list. I went straight for it and tried to get the official roster page.
I figured this would be the most up-to-date and accurate source, rather than trusting some random fan-made list.
Diving into the Divisions
Once I had the main roster, I saw they broke it down by weight class. That made things a little easier. Bellator has a few women’s divisions:
- Flyweight
- Featherweight
- And sometimes they have Strawweight fights, or catchweight bouts.
I decided to tackle each division one by one. I basically just started going through the names, seeing who was who.
Checking Out Individual Fighters
For the fighters I recognized, I already had a bit of a sense of their record and fighting style. But for a lot of them, I was drawing a blank. So, I got to searching.

I looked them up and it helped me get some basic stats (wins, losses, etc.).
I wanted to get a feel for their fighting style, too – were they strikers, grapplers, or well-rounded? Were they known for knockouts, submissions, or decisions? that helped me, I tried to figure out that kind of stuff.
Putting It All Together
It took a while, but I slowly built up a decent understanding. It’s not like I memorized every fighter’s record, but I got a much better sense of who the top contenders are, who’s on the rise, and who’s maybe had a rough patch lately. It was like putting together a puzzle, piece by piece.
This is definitely an ongoing process, though. MMA is always changing – fighters move up and down in the rankings, new prospects emerge, and veterans might retire. So, I’m planning to keep checking and updating my notes every so often, just to stay on top of things. I’m kind of getting hooked on it, to be honest!
