Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another one of my little adventures. This time, I dove into the world of Mexican motor racing, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride! So, I started by looking up some famous Mexican drivers.
Of course, I learned more about Sergio “Checo” Pérez, that guy is a legend, being the only Mexican driver in F1 right now. I mean, the man’s got skills, sitting third in the F1 championship! That’s no small thing. I spent hours reading about his journey, his races, and man, I was hooked.
Then I got curious. What’s the deal with F1 racing in Mexico? Turns out, the Mexico City Grand Prix is a big thing. I found out that this race is always sold out, even with Sergio Perez’s uncertain future. It’s in October, at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. I learned the track is named after two famous racing brothers, how cool is that?
I did some digging and found out that F1 cars first raced in Mexico back in 1962, but it wasn’t an official Grand Prix until the next year. Jim Clark won that first official race, another legend right there. I watched some old videos of that race, and the cars looked so different back then! It was amazing!
I also stumbled upon this thing about a race number, 11. Apparently, that’s Checo’s number, and he’s been with the Force India team, and now he drives for Red Bull Racing. I read somewhere that he was the runner-up in the 2022 F1 World Drivers’ Championship. What an achievement! I guess that proves what a big deal he is in the racing world.
I watched some videos of F1’s social account to get the inside scoop. There were many fans talking about the Mexican Grand Prix, and many of them showed up. I was amazed by the passion of these fans.

Here’s what I did step-by-step:
- Started with the basics: Googled “famous Mexican racing drivers”.
- Focused on Sergio Pérez: Read tons of articles about his career, watched his races.
- Explored the Mexico City GP: Learned about its history, the track, and why it’s so popular.
- Watched videos: Old races, recent highlights, and fan reactions, it was all so exciting.
- Checked out race numbers: Found out about Checo’s number 11 and its significance.
So yeah, that’s my journey into the world of Mexican motor racing. It’s been a blast learning about all this stuff. I’m telling you, it’s a whole different world out there, and I’m glad I got to share my little adventure with you all. Until next time, keep the rubber side down!
