Okay, so I was chilling on the couch last night, scrolling through YouTube, and bam! A video about Mike Tyson popped up. Not about his boxing, but about his… IQ? I was like, “Wait, what?” I always figured Tyson was more about brute force than brains, you know?

So, I clicked on the video, obviously. It got me thinking, how would I even go about finding out about this? I mean, it’s not like you can just text Mike Tyson and be like, “Yo, what’s your IQ score?”
Digging for Info
First thing I did was, of course, hit up Google. Typed in “Mike Tyson IQ”. I scrolled through a bunch of articles, forums, some Quora answers, stuff like that. A lot of the stuff seemed pretty…sketchy. Random numbers, unsourced claims, the usual internet mess.
Then I tried to find some more credible sources. I looked for interviews where maybe he talked about it himself, or maybe documentaries that mentioned it. Finding official sources about it is a bit hard, so i needed to dig a bit more.
I even checked out some websites that supposedly track celebrity IQs (yeah, those exist). But honestly, who knows how accurate those are? They probably just pull numbers out of thin air.
The Verdict?
After spending a good hour down this rabbit hole, here’s the deal: It’s all pretty murky. I found some sites claiming his IQ is around 89, others put it way higher. There’s just no definitive answer that I could find.

Honestly, it made me realize that trying to slap a single number on someone’s intelligence, especially someone like Tyson, is kinda pointless. He’s obviously incredibly smart in the ring – his reflexes, his strategy, his ability to read opponents. That’s a different kind of intelligence, and it’s probably way more important than whatever some IQ test says.
But i think its something that will remain as an unconfirmed thing.
