Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about this NASCAR Chicago qualifying thing, ya hear? I ain’t no expert, but I can tell ya what I know, just like I’m gossipin’ over the fence with my neighbor.

So, they gonna have these cars, real fast ones, racin’ around in Chicago. Not on no regular track, mind you, but on the streets. Can you believe it? City folks and their fancy ideas! They gotta figure out who gets to start where, and that’s what this “qualifyin’” is all about.
Now, they tellin’ me this qualifyin’ thing is happenin’ on a Saturday. Saturday afternoon, to be exact. Somethin’ like 12:30 in the afternoon, central time, whatever that means. They got all these fancy times, ya know? Eastern time, central time… makes my head spin. Just tell me when to turn on the darn TV!
- When’s this qualifyin’ thing happenin’? Saturday afternoon, around 12:30 PM central time.
- Where can ya watch it? They sayin’ it’ll be on the USA Network. If you got that cable stuff, you should be good. And some folks say it’s on that SiriusXM radio thing too, for listenin’ while you’re drivin’ your tractor or somethin’.
They got all sorts of other racin’ goin’ on too, not just the big fellas. Something they call the “Xfinity Series.” Sounds fancy, huh? They practice in the mornin’, ‘round 11:00 AM eastern time. That’s before the qualifyin’ for the big race, I reckon. See, it’s a whole day of racin’ and such, if you’re into that kinda thing.
They gonna open up the garage on Saturday, July 6th, too. I guess that’s when them fellas start tinker’n with their cars. Gotta make sure everything’s just right, ya know. Tires and engines and all that stuff. I bet it smells like gas and oil down there. Reminds me of my old pickup truck…
Now, if you wanna watch this NASCAR stuff, you gotta have the right channels. They sayin’ it’s on Fox, FS1, NBC, and that USA Network I told ya about. This weekend, the big championship race is gonna be on NBC. But for the qualifyin’ in Chicago, it’s the USA Network, remember that. Don’t wanna be flippin’ through channels all day, missin’ the good stuff.

Some folks, they don’t even use the regular TV no more. They got that “You-Tube TV” or something. Said they got a free trial, whatever that means. Everything’s so complicated these days. Back in my day, you had one TV and a few channels, and that was it. Now you got all these gizmos and gadgets.
The big race, the actual one, that’s on Sunday. Starts at 3:00 PM eastern time, they say. But first, they gotta do this qualifyin’ to see who starts where. It’s kinda like linin’ up at the grocery store. You wanna be first in line, right? Get the best pickin’s? Same thing with racin’, I guess. You wanna be in front, so you got a better chance of winnin’.
So, there you have it. NASCAR Chicago qualifying. Saturday afternoon, USA Network. Don’t forget! And if you get confused, just ask your neighbor. Maybe they know more than this old gal does. But I tried my best to explain it to ya, just like I’d tell it to my own kin. Now, I gotta go make some dinner. All this talk about racin’ has made me hungry!
And remember, all this racin’ schedule stuff they talk about? Sometimes they change it up, so keep an ear out. They might move things around, ya never know. Like when the weatherman says it’s gonna be sunny, and then it rains buckets. Always gotta be prepared for a little change, that’s what I always say.
Anyways, I hope you got all that straight. It ain’t rocket science, but it ain’t exactly simple neither. But that’s the way things are these days. Everything’s gotta be a little bit complicated, I reckon. Now go on and enjoy that racin’!
