Alright, let me tell you how I got this Smoker thing set up in my Minecraft world. I was getting pretty fed up, honestly. Waiting for my food to cook in the regular furnace felt like it took ages, especially when I came back starving after a long mining trip.

Getting the Bits Together
So, I decided I needed that Smoker. Faster cooking, right? That’s the whole point. First things first, I needed the ingredients.
- A Furnace: I already had one, but if you don’t, it’s easy. Just gotta mine 8 cobblestone blocks. You know, punch some stone, grab the bumpy grey stuff. Simple.
- Wood Logs: Needed four of these. Doesn’t matter what kind. Oak, birch, spruce, whatever tree is closest. I just went outside my little hut, chopped down the nearest oak tree, and got the logs. Make sure they’re the logs, not planks!
Putting It All Together
Okay, got the furnace, got the logs. Now what?
I went over to my crafting table. Gotta have one of those, obviously. Opened it up.
Then, I just plonked the Furnace right smack in the center slot of the 3×3 grid.
Next, I took those four Wood Logs I chopped. I put one directly above the furnace, one directly below it, one to the left, and one to the right. So, the furnace was kinda hugged by the logs on all four sides.

And just like that, the Smoker appeared in the result box! I grabbed it quick before I forgot.
Trying It Out
Found a good spot for it in my base, right next to my chests where I keep my food. Fired it up immediately. Threw in some raw porkchops I had lying around and some coal for fuel.
Man! It cooked those things up so much faster than the old furnace. Like, seriously quick. No more hanging around waiting forever. It only does food, mind you – won’t smelt your ores or anything, use the regular furnace or a blast furnace for that. But for cooking meat, potatoes, kelp? Perfect.
So yeah, that’s how I made my Smoker. Pretty easy, really. Huge time saver if you eat a lot of cooked food in the game like I do.
