Okay, so today I messed around with this “given 15” thing. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but I figured, why not? Let’s see what happens.
I started by just staring at the phrase “given 15”. I mean, what does that even mean? It felt like some kind of riddle or a super vague instruction. My first thought was, “Is this math? Do I need to do something with the number 15?”
My First Attempt (and Fail)
I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen – yeah, I’m old school sometimes. I started writing down random things related to 15. Like:
- 15 = 3 x 5
- 15 minutes is a quarter of an hour
- …and then I kinda drew a blank.
Clearly, just listing random facts about the number 15 wasn’t getting me anywhere. It felt like I was missing the point entirely. I needed a different approach.
Changing My Thinking
Then I thought, maybe “given 15” isn’t about the number 15. Maybe it’s about being given something. Like, receiving something. So I started thinking about scenarios where someone might give you something, and the “15” could represent… I don’t know, anything!
I pictured someone handing me 15 apples. Or maybe 15 dollars. Or 15 tiny, adorable kittens (okay, that one was a bit of a stretch). I even started sketching out little scenarios on my paper.
The “Aha!” Moment (Maybe?)
I still hadn’t created any code or built anything, I was just thinking, My next approach was imagining what someone might do to “give in”, what can be given in that is equal to 15?
So the “given 15” for me ended up being 15 attempts to try to give in and get this task done.
It’s not perfect, and I’m still not 100% sure what “given 15” is supposed to mean. But I feel like I explored some different possibilities, and that’s something, right? Maybe tomorrow I’ll have a fresh perspective and try again. Or maybe I’ll just move on to something else entirely. Who knows! That’s the fun of these little experiments, I guess.
