Alright, so you wanna know about this fella, Patrick Mohr, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I’ve heard. This ain’t gonna be no fancy talk, just plain speakin’, ya hear?
First off, seems like there’s more than one Patrick Mohr out there. Kinda like John Smith, ya know? Lots of ’em. One fella, born way back in 1971, on April 6th, he was a tennis player. A real pro, they say. From Switzerland, though his folks came from somewhere else… Czechoslovakia, or somethin’ like that. Started playin’ for money in 1992. Worked hard, I guess. Even got on some Swiss team, Peugeot World Team Cup, they called it, in 1996.
Now, this tennis-playing Patrick, he went to the French Open in 1994. That’s a big deal, I reckon. Didn’t win the whole thing, but he did pretty good in the qualifin’ rounds, beat some fellas named Brian MacPhie and Christian Bergström. Big names? Don’t ask me, I just heard ’em.
Then there’s another Patrick Mohr, lives out in Los Angeles. He ain’t no tennis player. He’s a, whatchamacallit, a technology project manager. And a consultant, too. Sounds fancy, but I bet he just tells folks what to do with their computers and such. Probably makes a good livin’, though.
You wanna find these Patricks? Well, the internet, that thingamajig, says you can look ’em up on Facebook. Lots of people with that name on there, apparently. Like I said, common name.
And then, wouldn’t ya know it, there’s clothes too! Patrick Mohr clothes. Folks are lookin’ to buy ‘em. Shoes, they call ‘em hi-top sneakers. Don’t know what that means, but they must be somethin’ special if people are searchin’ for ‘em.
If you’re lookin’ for how good this tennis Patrick was, there’s somethin’ called ATP rankings. It tells ya how good a player is, singles or doubles. They keep track of all that stuff. You can look up his whole career, they say.
- So, we got the tennis player from Switzerland.
- Then there’s the tech fella in Los Angeles.
- And don’t forget the clothes, the sneakers.
See? Lots of Patrick Mohrs. Hard to keep ’em all straight. Now, I heard tell of another fella, not a Patrick Mohr, but a Moore. Robert Shibuya fella, workin’ in somethin’ called commercial real estate. Big shot, Chairman and CEO of Mohr Partners. Been doin’ it for forty years, buyin’ and sellin’ and buildin’ offices and such. But he ain’t no Patrick, just a name that sounds close. Kinda got me sidetracked there for a minute. Happens when you get old like me.
And there’s another Moore, just Moore, not Patrick. Died back in 2012, poor fella. Sepsis and heart failure, they said. Happened right at home. Sad, it is. But again, that ain’t Patrick, just a similar name. Gets confusing, all these names soundin’ alike.
So, there ya have it. What I know about Patrick Mohr. Or, should I say, Patrick Mohrs. A tennis player, a tech guy, some fancy sneakers…take your pick. It’s a big world, lots of folks with the same name. Just gotta figure out which one you’re lookin’ for.
