Well, let me tell you, this thing about Cuba and the Cayman Islands, it’s a real head-scratcher. I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout it down at the market. They was sayin’ how you can go from one to the other. Sounds fancy, don’t it?

So, these Cayman Islands, they say it’s real pretty. Sunshine all the time, ‘cept when it rains, of course. They got this time, they call it “dry season,” I reckon. That’s when everybody goes, from what I hear. November to April, somethin’ like that. Lots of sun, not much rain. Sounds nice, specially when you’re bones get to achin’ in the cold.
Now, this Cuba place, that’s a whole ‘nother story. They say it’s full of dancin’ and music. Salsa, they call it. Sounds like a real hootenanny! If you wanna go there from them Cayman Islands, you gotta get some kinda paper. A visitor card, or a visa, whatever that is. They sell ’em right there where you get on the plane, so I guess it ain’t too hard.
Some folks was worryin’ ’bout them big storms, hurricanes. Said September and October is when they usually hit. I always say just be prepared for anything. These places are far from those storms though, so it is okay, don’t worry about it.
- Cayman Islands got that “dry season”
- Cuba got that salsa dancin’
- Gotta get a paper to go to Cuba from the Cayman Islands
- Hurricanes come in September and October, mostly
Two whole weeks! That’s a long time to be gone from home. But they say it’s worth it. You get to see all sorts of things. Different people, different ways of livin’. It’s like steppin’ into a whole new world, I reckon. I heard that the Cayman Islands is like walkin’ around barefoot. And Cuba is buzzin’ with all the culture. It is a long trip, nine days or so. Just imagine.
Now, I ain’t never been to either of these places. But I hear stories. And from what I hear, it sounds like quite the adventure. Just imagine, goin’ from one island to another, seein’ all them sights. It’s enough to make your head spin!

They say the best time to go to them Cayman Islands is that dry season, like I said. But Cuba, well, I guess you can go there anytime. Just gotta watch out for them storms if you go in the fall. Rain is heavy there from July to early November. They say you might get rain in May and June too. But I guess that’s just part of bein’ in those tropical places.
If you’re goin’ to be gone for two weeks, you better pack a whole lot of stuff. And don’t forget your dancin’ shoes if you’re goin’ to Cuba! They say everybody dances there, even old folks like me. Maybe I should give it a try sometime.
I heard some folks sayin’ they was gonna fly from the Cayman Islands to Cuba. Said it only takes a little while. Faster than a horse and buggy, that’s for sure! And cheaper than you might think, too.
You go to them Cayman Islands, you better bring your money. They say things are expensive there. But Cuba, well, that’s a different story. I hear you can get by with a lot less there.

- Flyin’ is faster than a horse and buggy
- Cayman Islands is pricey
- Cuba is cheaper, they say
- Pack a lot for two weeks!
One fella said he was goin’ to Cayman Islands and then to Cuba for couple of days to go salsa dancing, he just love that. He was not sure if he can go there. But you can go, just buy that paper I told you.
Another one, looking at both Cuba and Cayman Islands, thinking they are far from the hurricanes in late September. He is right, these two are far from those.
It sounds like a mighty fine trip, goin’ to both of them places. Cayman Islands and Cuba. Sun and sand and dancin’. What more could you ask for? Maybe I’ll go one of these days, when my old bones ain’t achin’ so much. Just gotta remember that paper for Cuba, if you are going from Cayman Islands.
You are planning for the trip, you can go to both Cuba and Cayman Islands. I think two weeks is good. You can see many things there. One is luxury, another is culture. It is a good trip. You will like it. Remember dry season is good for Cayman Islands, and be careful for the rain in Cuba.
