Hey there, y’all. Let’s talk about this “Ronald Baker the Game,” whatever that is. Sounds fancy, huh? I ain’t no expert on these newfangled games, but I’ll tell ya what I know, just like I’m chattin’ with ya on the porch.

First off, games, games, games. Seems like everyone’s playin’ somethin’ these days. My grandkids, they’re always glued to them phones, tappin’ away. Kids these days, always with the screens. Back in my day, we played outside, you know? But I guess times change, and these games, well, they must be somethin’ special if everyone’s so hooked.
Now, this Ronald Baker fella. Is he some kinda big shot? A ball player, maybe? Or a singer? I ain’t never heard of him, but then again, I ain’t heard of half the folks these youngsters talk about. Maybe he’s got one of them “brain games.” You know, the kind that make you think real hard. Heard tell of them things, supposed to keep your mind sharp, like a good ol’ knife.
- Could be a trivia game, askin’ all sorts of questions.
- Maybe it’s a puzzle game, gotta fit things together just right.
- Or perhaps it’s one of them action games, shootin’ and runnin’ and whatnot. Too much noise for me, that kind of stuff.
If it’s a brain game, well, that might be alright. Keepin’ your mind busy is a good thing, they say. Better than sittin’ around watchin’ the grass grow, ain’t it? Though, I gotta say, sometimes watchin’ the grass grow is mighty peaceful. But these games, they say they can help you learn new things, too. Maybe even teach you some of that computer stuff. Not for me, though. Too old for that nonsense.
Now, if this game is free, that’s a different story. Free is always good. I ain’t got money to be throwin’ around on fancy games. Gotta save for important things, like medicine and good food. But if it’s free, and it can keep my grandkids quiet for a while, then maybe it’s worth a look-see. Though I reckon they’ll be showin’ me how to play, not the other way around.
And speakin’ of playin’, how do you even play these things? On a computer, I guess? Or one of them phones? See, I told ya I don’t know much about this stuff. But I hear you can play games right on the internet, just like lookin’ somethin’ up on Google, or whatever it’s called. Seems mighty convenient, if you ask me. No need to go buyin’ a bunch of CDs or cartridges or whatever they use these days. Just click a button and you’re off.

Some games, they say, you play with other folks. Teams, they call ’em. Workin’ together to win, just like a good barn raisin’. That sounds kinda fun, I guess. Better than playin’ by yourself all the time. But then you gotta worry about them other folks bein’ any good. Nothin’ worse than havin’ a teammate who don’t know what they’re doin’. Reminds me of tryin’ to get old Bessie to plow a straight row. Sometimes she’d just wander off wherever she pleased.
And what about music? Some games got music, I hear. Little tunes playin’ in the background. Sometimes even let you make your own music. That sounds kinda nice. I always liked a good fiddle tune or a gospel song. If this Ronald Baker game got some nice music, that’d be a plus. Music always makes things better, that’s what I say. Even washin’ dishes is more fun with a little hummin’ along.
So, this “Ronald Baker the Game,” it could be anything, really. A brain teaser, an action-packed adventure, or even a music makin’ thingamajig. I still ain’t sure who this Ronald Baker fella is, but if his game keeps folks entertained, then I guess that’s all that matters. Just remember, don’t spend too much time starin’ at that screen. Get outside, get some sunshine, and talk to a real person once in a while. That’s the real game of life, you know?
But if you are gonna play, play somethin’ that challenges that mind of yours, or better yet, makes you work with others. Learnin’ and community, that’s how things get done, be it in a computer game, or out here, livin’ our lives.
