Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole Pokémon VGC Worlds 2024 thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a wild ride getting all the details sorted. I mean, I just wanted to know when and where this shindig is going down, right?

First off, I started by just hitting up the usual spots online, trying to find some basic info. And guess what? The dates were right there – August 16 to 18. Phew, that was easy! It’s happening at the Hawai‘i Convention Center in Honolulu. I mean, Hawai‘i? Count me in!
But then I wanted more. I’m a planner, you know? So, I went looking for the full schedule. It took a bit of clicking around, but I finally found it. It’s got everything: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet matches, the Trading Card Game, Pokémon GO, and even Pokémon Unite. They even listed the times, though they’re all in PT, which is a bit of a pain, but hey, I can work with that.
What I Found
- Dates: August 16 – 18, 2024. That’s a Friday to Sunday, which is perfect for a weekend trip.
- Location: Hawai‘i Convention Center, Honolulu. Sounds fancy, right?
- Events:
- Pokémon Scarlet and Violet (That’s the main game for VGC)
- Pokémon Trading Card Game
- Pokémon GO
- Pokémon Unite
And get this – apparently, there are going to be 694 qualified players there. That’s a lot of trainers! It’s going to be streamed live, too, which is awesome. I found out that you can watch it on Twitch and YouTube.
And guess what else I stumbled upon? Some chatter about a guy named Luca Ceribelli who won. Apparently, winning this thing is a huge deal, and people are all over his team composition. I mean, winning the Pokemon World Championship is a big deal.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure in figuring out the Pokémon VGC Worlds 2024 schedule. It’s going to be a blast, and I’m already picturing myself in Hawai‘i, even if it’s just virtually through the stream. Who knows, maybe next year I’ll actually be there competing! A guy can dream, right?
