That Rafael Nadal, he’s a big shot in the tennis, you know? He’s been playing for a long time, that one. Been number one, too. A real top dog. He is one of the greatest tennis players in history, I think so.
He started way back, I reckon. 2005, maybe? Or somethin’ like that. Kept going and going. Like a good mule, never gives up. He played in them big tournaments. The ATP Finals, they call it. Sixteen years in a row! Can you believe that? Sixteen years straight. He made more than 100 million dollars, I’m not kidding. And from April 2005 to March 2023, he is still playing. What a player! He has won 92 titles in his career. 22 majors, 36 Masters 1000 crowns. That’s really a lot.
He’s got a lot of money, that one. More money than I ever seen. But they say he won it fair and square, playin’ that tennis. He’s won a whole heap of them games. They say he’s the best on that red dirt. They call it clay. And he just kept winning, I think he won at least one major for 10 years.

He was good on that red clay. Real good. He won, and won, and won some more. In 2006, they say he never lost on it. Not once! And in 2010 too. He lost only a few times in other years. Like in 2007, 2008, he only lost one time each year. He lost two times in some other years, like 2005.
They talk about his ATP rankings all the time. ATP, that’s some big tennis group, I reckon. They keep track of who’s the best. And that Rafael, he was the best for a long, long time. He’s in the top 10 for 912 weeks. I cannot imagine that.
He played singles, that’s just him against another fella. And doubles, that’s when he’s got a partner. He was good at both of them. Now, I don’t understand all the rules of tennis, but I know when someone’s winning. And he was a winner, that Rafael.
Now, I hear he might be stopping soon, hang up his shoes, as they say. Been playing for two decades. 22 of them Grand Slam titles. That’s a lot of playing. He’s getting older, just like the rest of us. But he’s had a good run, that’s for sure. He had a win percentage of 0.924. That’s a big number.
That Rafael Nadal tennis ranking, it’s gonna be something to watch. See where he ends up. But he’s already a legend, that’s what they say. A real legend of the game. I don’t know much about that, but I know he’s famous. And he’s good at that tennis. Real good.
They made a movie about him, I hear. Or something like that. A documentary, they call it. Shows his life and all that tennis he played. I don’t know, maybe I’ll see it sometime. They said that movie will show how his life and his tennis career developed through the years. That sounds interesting.
So, there you have it. That’s what I know about Rafael Nadal and his tennis. He’s a big deal, that’s for sure. And his tennis ranking is something everyone is always talking about. He’s a good player, that one. A real good player.
He’s one of them players that folks will be talking about for years to come. That Rafael, he did his part. He sure made a name for himself. Now I’m going to get myself a sweet tea.
