They call it the “richest somethin’ or other horse race”. Sounds fancy, don’t it? These horses, they run like the wind, I reckon. Quarter horses and thoroughbreds all the time in summer. You can bring kids to see it for free.
Now, I ain’t never been to one of them races myself. Too much fuss for me. But I seen pictures. And I hear tell, it’s a sight to behold. Them horses, all shiny and strong, thunderin’ down the track. People hollerin’ and cheerin’. Must be a right lively affair.
They got this Ruidoso Downs entries thing. I guess that’s like a list. A list of all them horses gonna be runnin’. You can find it somewhere, I suppose.
