Okay, so, I wanted to mess around with this “Rule 24” video thing. It’s been a real pain in the ass, to be honest. But I figured I’d share what I did, maybe save someone else the headache.
First off, I started by trying to figure out what this whole “Rule 24” even was. I mean, I’d heard the term tossed around, but I didn’t really get it. So, I hit up the internet, started googling. Turns out, it’s some legal stuff, mostly about joining lawsuits or something. There’s this thing called “Rule 24 (a)” that says a court has to let you join if you meet certain rules. And then there’s “Rule 24 (b)” which is like, maybe they’ll let you join, maybe not. It’s all very confusing.
Then I found out there’s a “Rule 24” for criminal trials too. This one’s about picking the jury. I’m no lawyer, but this started to seem like way more than I bargained for. This is not what I have expected.
Anyway, I also saw something about people using “Rule 34” and some website, but that’s a whole other can of worms. Not even gonna go there. I did see a comment somewhere asking “What’s rule 24?” with a bunch of votes. So I guess I’m not the only one who was lost.
So, what did I actually do? Well, after all that reading, not much. I watched a couple of videos that were supposed to be about “Rule 24,” but they were mostly just lawyers talking about the law. Not exactly what I was looking for. I was hoping for something, you know, more exciting.
My Dumb Efforts
- Searched for “Rule 24 video” online. Lots of legal stuff, not much fun.
- Tried to understand the difference between Rule 24 (a) and Rule 24 (b). My brain hurts.
- Watched some boring videos about court procedures. Snoozefest.
- Stumbled upon some weird stuff about Rule 34. Nope, not touching that.
Honestly, this whole “Rule 24 video” thing was a bust. Maybe I’m just dumb, but it seemed like a lot of legal mumbo jumbo with nothing interesting to actually watch. I definitely do not recommend anyone waste their time searching for that. Unless you’re a lawyer or something, which I’m clearly not. My advice? Skip it and go watch cat videos or something instead. You’ll thank me later.
If you ask me if I have learned anything? I guess I learned that the law is complicated and boring. And that the internet can be a very strange place. I’m gonna go take a nap now. This whole thing has worn me out.
