Well, let me tell ya, this “Saved by the Bell” thing, it ain’t all that great, ya know? Folks say they liked it for the people and the stories, but most of that stuff ain’t real life, not for kids I know, anyhow. Sometimes, they talked about somethin’ serious, and that was alright, but mostly, it was just… there. If ya think too hard about it, it’s just plain silly.
Now, I heard somethin’ about this sayin’, “saved by the bell.” Like, people gettin’ buried alive and then a bell rings and they get dug up? Sounds like a tall tale to me. Heard tell there ain’t no proof of that, no sir. And that sayin’? Didn’t show up ’til way later, they say, in the 1800s or somethin’. So, don’t go believin’ everything ya hear.
And this show, it just kept goin’ on and on, like a bad penny. They finished it up, right? But then them TV folks, they wanted more. But some of the girls, they said “no more,” smart girls. So, what they do? They just slap in a new girl, like nobody’d notice! And the other two? Gone, poof! Like they never were there. Didn’t make no sense, not a lick.
- And that boy, Dustin Diamond, bless his heart, he passed on from that cancer. Sad, real sad. He was one of them kids on the show.
- They did some wild things on that show, things that didn’t make sense, you know? Like one time… well, it don’t matter. Just silly stuff.
This new show, the one they just made, it started up just the other day. I ain’t seen it, but I heard about it. Don’t know if it’s any good, probably not.
This show, it wasn’t like that other show, the one with all the rich kids. Maybe some of them on “Saved by the Bell” had money, but mostly they was just regular kids, I guess. Except they got into all sorts of trouble that real kids wouldn’t.
And that Zack fella, he wasn’t always nice to the girls, and that Slater boy, he never did grow up, and Kelly, she just ended up bein’ Zack’s pretty wife, didn’t do much else. People liked the show back then, though. Guess they didn’t have much else to watch.
That song they play at the start, it’s catchy, I’ll give ’em that. But it’s fast, real fast. Hard to understand all them words sometimes.
Now, ‘stead of makin’ the new show just like the old one, they changed it up. Don’t know why. Maybe they thought they could do better, but I doubt it.
I heard someone say you should just watch some of the seasons, not all of ’em. Seasons two, three, the end of four, and most of five. Said the rest ain’t worth watchin’. Maybe they’re right.
So, there ya have it. My two cents on this “Saved by the Bell” thing. It ain’t the worst thing I ever seen, but it ain’t the best neither. Just a bunch of silly kids doin’ silly things, if ya ask me.
But what do I know? I’m just an old woman, right? But I know what I like, and I know what I don’t like. And mostly, I don’t like stuff that don’t make no sense.
They tried to make it all fancy and teach lessons sometimes, I guess. But it mostly just came off as fake, you know? Like them actors were just sayin’ words someone wrote for ’em, not really feelin’ it.
And the problems they had on the show, they weren’t real problems. Not like the problems real folks have, like worryin’ about payin’ the bills or puttin’ food on the table. These kids worried about dates and school dances and such. Hmph.
I reckon maybe some folks liked it ’cause it was somethin’ to watch, somethin’ to take their minds off things. But me, I like things a bit more… real, ya know? Somethin’ I can relate to. This show, it just ain’t it.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ deep and meaningful, this ain’t it. If you want somethin’ to pass the time, maybe. But don’t expect too much. That’s all I gotta say about that “Saved by the Bell suck” business.
