Okay, so I saw this internship posting for the Houston Astros, and I thought, “Why not?” I’m a huge baseball fan, and the Astros are one of my favorite teams. I mean, who wouldn’t want to work for a team like that?

I started by looking up some general information about internships. The stuff I found online was pretty basic, like how internships can help you get some real-world experience in your chosen field. Nothing groundbreaking, but it was a good reminder of why I was doing this in the first place.
Then I dug into the Astros’ website. I found some news about the 2025 season tickets, and I guess they’re playing at a place called Daikin Park next year. Not really relevant to the internship, but it’s cool to know. I also skimmed through articles about their outfield, their rotation, and some rumors about their bullpen. Honestly, it felt like I was just catching up on the latest gossip, but it got me even more excited about the possibility of working there.
The application process itself was pretty straightforward. I filled out the online form, uploaded my resume, and wrote a cover letter explaining why I was the best candidate. I talked about my love for the game, my skills, and how I thought I could contribute to the team. I even mentioned some of the articles I had read to show that I was up-to-date on what was happening with the team.
After submitting everything, the waiting game began. It felt like forever. I kept checking my email every five minutes, hoping for a response. Finally, after a couple of weeks, I got an email inviting me for an interview! I was so pumped!
The interview was nerve-wracking, but I think I did pretty well. I talked to a few people from the HR department, and they asked me about my experience, my skills, and why I wanted to work for the Astros. I answered all their questions as best as I could, and I even managed to crack a few jokes to lighten the mood.

A few days later, I got the call! They offered me the internship! I was over the moon! I accepted immediately, of course. Now, I’m getting ready to start my internship with the Houston Astros. I still can’t believe it. It’s like a dream come true. Wish me luck!
