Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get down to the Sharks Tooth Golf Course in Florida for a while now. Heard a lot about it, seen some pictures, you know, the usual. Finally, I just decided to go for it – booked a tee time and made a weekend out of it.

First things first, I had to get my clubs ready. Gave them a good cleaning, checked the grips, all that jazz. Made sure I had enough balls – you always need more than you think, especially on a course you’ve never played before.
Getting There and First Impressions
The drive down was pretty smooth. I mapped it out beforehand, of course.
When I finally got there, wow! This place is beautiful. Seriously, the landscaping is top-notch. Everything is so green and lush, and you can just tell they put a lot of effort into maintaining the course.
Checked in at the pro shop – super friendly staff, by the way. Grabbed a scorecard and a yardage book. I’m not a pro or anything, so every little bit of help counts!

Hitting the Course
Started out on the driving range, just to loosen up. Hit a few irons, worked my way up to the driver. Feeling pretty good, I headed to the first tee.
- Hole 1: Par 4, a little intimidating, but I managed to keep it in the fairway. Ended up with a bogey, which I was okay with for a starting hole.
- The Next Few: A mix of pars and bogeys. The course is definitely challenging, but fair. The greens are fast, though! Gotta be careful with your putting.
- The par 3: There are beautiful. One wrong move and my ball is gone.
I’m not gonna go through every single hole, but I will say this: the course design is fantastic. There’s a good mix of challenges – water hazards, bunkers, strategically placed trees. You really have to think about your shots.
The middle of the round was a bit rough. Lost a couple of balls in the water – rookie mistakes, I guess. But I kept my head up and kept playing.
Finishing Strong (Sort Of)
By the time I got to the back nine, I was starting to get the hang of the course. Made a few really good shots, even managed a birdie on one of the par 5s! Felt pretty good about that.
The last few holes were a bit of a grind. I was getting tired, and my swing was starting to suffer. But hey, that’s golf, right?

Ended up shooting a… well, let’s just say it wasn’t my best round ever. But I had a blast! The course was amazing, the weather was perfect, and I got to spend a day doing something I love.
After the round, I grabbed a drink at the clubhouse and just relaxed for a bit, soaking it all in. Would I go back to Sharks Tooth? Absolutely! It’s a great course, and I’d love to give it another shot now that I have a better feel for it.
Next Time my clubs are going with me!
