Alright, folks, let me tell you about this little adventure I had recently. So, I’ve been a St. Louis Cardinals fan for, well, pretty much my whole life. And this year, I finally decided, you know what? I’m gonna go see them at spring training. I’ve always wanted to, and it just felt like the right time.

First things first, I had to figure out when they were actually starting. Turns out, they kick off their Grapefruit League games on February 22nd against the Houston Astros at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. Good to know, right? I marked that down in my calendar immediately.
Next up, tickets. I saw somewhere online that individual tickets for the 2024 Cardinals Spring Training games went on sale on January 6th, so I made sure I was up and ready that morning. It said the tickets would officially go on sale at 9:00 a.m., and you bet I was on the website right at 9, refreshing like crazy. And guess what? It said that individual tickets for 2025 games will go on sale on November 19, that’s early! But hey, I managed to snag some for this year, so I was happy as a clam.
Now, I’ve heard that the average ticket price for a Cardinals game was around $38.43 in 2023, which is a bit of a jump from the year before. But honestly, for spring training, it felt worth it. Plus, I splurged a little and got myself a Diamond Box seat. They’re all-inclusive, with an indoor area and unlimited food and drinks throughout the game. Between 1st and 3rd base, I believe. Seemed like a pretty sweet deal to me, so why not, right?
Oh, and I found out something interesting about watching the games on TV. Apparently, FanDuel Sports Network Midwest, the Cardinals’ TV provider, made a deal with Prime Video. So, if you’re a local fan, you can now stream the games directly through Prime Video. Pretty convenient, huh?
Once I had the tickets sorted, I started looking into the actual training facility. Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium is where they play, and it’s shared with the Miami Marlins. They’ve got six practice fields each, with the Marlins’ fields numbered 2 through 7. I figured I’d try to catch a practice session or two while I was there.

- February 22nd: Mark the date – Cardinals vs. Astros.
- January 6th: Snag those tickets early!
- $38.43: Average ticket price, but hey, treat yourself to a Diamond Box seat!
- Prime Video: Stream the games if you’re local.
- Practice Fields: Check out the team in action before the games.
So, yeah, that was my whole process of getting ready for Cardinals spring training. I started planning, grabbed my tickets, did a little research on the stadium and TV situation, and now I’m all set. I’m super excited, and I can’t wait to see my favorite team in action. It’s gonna be a blast!
