This cup, you see, the starling cup, it ain’t just any old cup. It’s somethin’ special, I tell ya. Keeps them pesky birds, the starlings, away from the good stuff. You know how it is, you put out the good feed for the little birds, the ones you wanna see, and then them starlings come in like a bunch of bullies, eatin’ everything up.

- First, you gotta get the right cup. Not just any cup will do. This one’s called a starling cup for a reason, ya see? I got it somewhere. Can’t remember where.
- Then you gotta put it up high enough. Starlings, they like to be up high, but not too high. Just gotta find that sweet spot.
- And you gotta keep it filled with the good stuff. The little birds, they love sunflower seeds. That’s what I use. Seems to keep ’em happy.
- And don’t you forget to clean it out every now and then! Birds are messy eaters, even the little ones.
Before I got this cup, I tried everything to get rid of them starlings. I tried them shiny things, you know, the ones that are supposed to scare ’em away. Didn’t work. They just sat right there on the feeder, laughin’ at me, I swear. Then I tried one of them feeders with the cages around it. Well, the starlings still got in, somehow. They’re smart, I’ll give ’em that. But not smarter than this cup!

I remember one time, I saw a whole flock of them starlings, must have been a hundred of ’em, descend on my feeder like a black cloud. Scared the daylights outta me! And they ate all the seed in minutes. Left nothin’ but empty shells. That’s when I knew I had to do somethin’.
This cup, it’s made of some kind of metal, I think. Real sturdy. Not like that cheap plastic stuff that breaks after a year. This one’s gonna last, I can tell. It’s got a little roof on it, too, to keep the rain out. Keeps the seed dry, so it doesn’t get all moldy and nasty. Birds don’t like that moldy stuff, you know.
And it’s easy to fill, too. Just pour the seed right in the top. No need to take the whole thing apart. ‘Cause who’s got time for that, right? I’m a busy woman! I got things to do.
The little birds, they seem to love it. They hop right up there and eat their fill. They don’t seem to mind the cup at all. In fact, I think they like it better. It’s like their own little private dinin’ room, away from the big, mean starlings.
Starling cup is the best thing. My neighbor told me it is the best thing. You can get one if you have starlings. I got one and now the starlings are gone. Now I have little birds all the time. I like the little birds. They are pretty. They sing pretty songs. Not like the starlings.
