Okay, so I’ve been seeing all this hype about the Super Bowl parade, and I figured, why not try to capture some of it myself? I’m no professional photographer, but I do enjoy snapping pics and thought it’d be a fun challenge.

First, I grabbed my trusty old camera. It’s nothing fancy, just a decent point-and-shoot, but it gets the job done. I made sure the battery was fully charged and I had plenty of space on the memory card. You don’t wanna run out of juice in the middle of all the action!
Getting There
Next up was figuring out how to even get to the parade route. I checked the local news websites and found a map showing the route and the road closures. I knew parking would be a nightmare, so I decided to take public transportation. I hopped on the bus, and it was already packed with people decked out in their team’s gear. The energy was contagious!
- Find the parade route online.
- Check for road closures.
- Consider public transportation instead of driving.
Finding the spot and taking photoes
Once I got downtown, it was a sea of people. I wandered around for a bit, trying to find a good spot with a clear view. I eventually squeezed my way into a spot near a barricade. It wasn’t perfect, but it was good enough.
Then, the waiting game began. I chatted with some of the people around me – everyone was super excited. Finally, we heard the sirens and the music, and the parade started! I just started snapping away, trying to capture the floats, the players, the crowd – everything! I wasn’t really thinking too much about composition or anything, just pointing and shooting.
Post-Parade Processing
After the parade passed, I headed back home, eager to see how my photos turned out. I uploaded them to my computer and started going through them. Some were blurry, some were poorly framed, but there were a few gems in there! I picked out my favorites and did some basic editing – adjusting the brightness and contrast, cropping a little here and there. Nothing too fancy.

Overall, it was a blast! I may do a better job next time, but for sure, I got some photos to remember the day by, and that’s all that really matters. It was more about the experience than anything else.
