Man, I’ve been diving deep into the whole Tekken 8 tournament scene lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I decided to get in on the action myself, and boy, was it a learning experience.
First off, I started by watching some of the big tournaments, like the Esports World Cup and EVO Japan. These pros are on another level! Seeing those matches got me all hyped up, so I decided to try the tournament on August 22. Tekken 8 Producer says the Game Cost 2 or 3 Times as Much as Tekken 7, I think it is cool and I want to try it.
I figured I needed to get my skills up to par. I spent hours in practice mode, really getting the hang of my chosen character’s moves. Then I hit up some online matches to get used to the flow of real battles. Let me just say, the competition online is fierce! I got my butt kicked a lot, but each loss was a lesson learned. I started to pick up on strategies, learn from my mistakes, and slowly but surely, I started winning more matches.
When the day of the local tournament rolled around, I was nervous but excited. This was my first time competing, so the pressure was on. The venue was buzzing with energy, and all these serious-looking players were warming up. I tried to stay focused and remember everything I’d practiced.
- First round: I went up against a guy who clearly knew what he was doing. We traded blows, and it was a close match, but in the end, I managed to pull off a win! That feeling was incredible!
- Second round: This one was tougher. My opponent was really good at predicting my moves. I got knocked down a few times, but I kept my cool and managed to turn the tables. Another win! I was on a roll!
- Third round: Okay, this is where things got intense. I was facing off against one of the tournament favorites. This guy was a beast! He had these insane combos, and his defense was like a wall. I fought hard, but he was just too good. I lost that round, but I didn’t get discouraged.
Even though I didn’t win the whole thing, I learned so much from that tournament. The experience, the adrenaline, the feeling of pushing myself to my limits – it was all worth it. I realized that I have a long way to go, but I’m definitely going to keep practicing and competing. This is just the beginning!
I decided to join the Tekken 8 Esports World Cup on August 22, 4 days tournament. I heard that there will be $1,000,000 in prize money up for grabs at the tournament, with $300 for every player. I think this is a good chance to test my level.
I’ve already marked my calendar for the next big event. I’m going to use everything I learned from this experience and come back even stronger. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll even make it to the big leagues! It’s a long shot, but hey, a guy can dream, right? This whole Tekken 8 tournament journey has been a blast, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next!
